Yup !!! But I think it is also the Jeans, you know the ones that are too old and way to tight and just on the verge of busting a button because of my so called ~ expanding spiritual personality and predominant figure of a man well spent!

Gad Zooks, so much for growing old ... gracefully!

I hope you allow me to get away with saying this but:

"Life's oft times a Horseshit Sandwich Minus the Bread" and that Mein Damen und Herren is as they say ... the living end or the whole truth and crux to life's search and ultimate meaning to the true search for the grail living itself ???

We chase phantoms half the days of our lives. It is well if we learn wisdom even then, and save the other half.

~ Letter to Orion Clemens, 21 February 1868

A man never reaches that dizzy height of wisdom that he can no longer be led by the nose.

~ Mark Twain's Notebook

It is wiser to find out than suppose.

~ More Maxims of Mark, Johnson, 1927

Behold the fool saith, "Put not all thine eggs in the one basket" -- which is but a manner of saying, "Scatter your money and your attention;" but the wise man saith, "Put all your eggs in the one basket and --WATCH THAT BASKET."

Hi all, after watching James Cameron Avatar movie, i'd like to comment the following:

- Na'vi sounds suspiciously similar to Baawi lol....the Baawi, according to Billy, are very slim 2.3 meter tall creatures. In the Talmud Jmmanuel, it is said that they could not breathe earth's atmosphere.

http://forum.figu.org/us/messages/12/7111.html#POST24632
http://forum.figu.org/us/messages/12/9232.html#POST25694

- The movie has a very strong environmental moral/message of sustainability and respect for the environment, nature and its laws. Pandora's natives do really sense a feeling o real interconnectedness with any/every living creature surrounding them, quite contrary to the earth human, which is portraited like a mere parasite of mineral ressources.

- The principle of non-interferece with other human civilizations of lower evolutionary level is also present in the movie.

- James Sullys character resembles the role of a spiritual teacher or prophet. He could portrait himself as some kind of supernatural God before the natives, but he doesn't, and helps them in every imaginable way.

So i recommend the movie to everyone!

hi Hector

yes, it is an interesting movie.

One thing i noticed is that the characters connect themselves with the trees and animals using something from their hair, as i understand it in the "dream world" the hair represents the thoughts so metaphorically in the movie it is shown that we are all connected with everything that exist through our thoughts.

In all kinds of books, movies and videogames i have noticed little "pieces of truth" that could be the result of some kind of external influence (or not).

Greetings

The movie was great in 3D, but it shows the spirit as something separate to connect with, when we are already spiritually interconnected. We just have to develope that within ourselves.

Hi all. To start off, I am no wiser than anyone here.

But even me, I suffer when I hear other people's comments and reactions to that movie, or to the whole world situation for that matter.

I am now in the process of learning to say nothing, be and let be, and be wiser when hearing cold-hearted and hateful comments or ideas.

The TV and the video-games have smashed up the brains and more sadly, the feelings of the new generations.

I can only barely imagine the internal pain and unbearable compassion that Billy may go through when seeing that happens on this world now, and the defensive positions we earthlings still take.

I want to become as wise as Billy, feel no pain, no sorrow, just observe and be loving and compassionate inside and calm outside.

Something inside tells me that there should be some way to actually do something, send them loving thoughts, perhaps via the peace meditation, because at least that way we are taking any action.

Hi Marbar,

Good find.

To quote the vatican news:

[ "The Vatican newspaper and radio station are criticizing James Cameron's 3-D blockbuster for flirting with the idea that worship of nature can replace religion ..."] ---

I say = make MORE movies like Avatar. I think the notion that "nature can replace religion" is spot-on. I hope people who watch will get this message, at least subconsciously.

J_rod_7,

Nature-worship is no different than the culture that the Draco/Nagas have. Nature is just part of the therelihood/Dasein/present-existence of Creation, and not in itself dignible ('worthy') of worship. Even Creation should not become worshipped as is done to gods, tin gods, idols, etc.

Creation is therely Nature, however, but this is like saying that Venus is one of the planets in the sky, and does not complete knowledge of the heavens, nor does it grasp the unmeasurable secret at their essence. One should not worship Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, the Sun, Venus, Mercury, the Moon, the Earth, etc, but only the Creation, and even then only in a venerating manner, and not submissively and humbly (lowly-couragedly). Creation, the essence itself, is not definitely any of these things, but it therely is these things.

Nature-worship ordinarily results in an increasingly animalistic (degenerant from human) mentality. In other words, the left-brain-hemisphere and the animal brain develop, while the spiritually-oriented side dwindles.

One then justifies one's predation upon the 'gullible' (in fact, 'cullible') by observing how animals behave in Nature, without ever seizing up a lasting meaning of life or ennobling oneself.

On the other hand, one becomes one of the 'gullible', as 'every ass becomes ridden by someone', and owing to that one becomes easily led to the slaughter, and takes for granted that one is being well-fed not for market, but because one is 'privileged'.

In fact, in part the religions of the world all actually worship a perverted human intepretation of Nature. Christians worship Jupiter and the Sun, Jews worship Saturn, Buddhists worship Mercury, Muslims worship Venus, Hindus worship the Moon, etc, etc. Why do you think the Vatican has a stock of PAGAN planetary deities' marble statues?

Matthew....

Concerning your: Buddhists worship Mercury...

Original Buddha teachings/philosophy does in NO WAY...worship Mercury!

Buddha, "Recommends": that humans Seek Truth Outwardly(Cosmic Consciousness, related), and, Inwardly, from Within Man, through Meditation,
and it's link also, to the mentioned Cosmic Consciousness. Seeking within the framework of: the Mega Consciousness and the Micro Consciousness,
so to speak. A similar - Creational Duality -, type of processing/factor.

Buddha's Original teachings/philosophy...is directly having - respect - (and
acquiring Knowledge,) to the Cosmos, the Cosmic Consciousness, thus: The Creation(; The WHOLE of Creation).

You may be referring to the Modern type of Buddhism throughout the centuries,
which has nothing to do with TRUE (Original) Buddha's teachings(; even I,
found it to be corrupted). I mentioned this years back, here (or, at the
PAR/PlsRReal). Billy and Semjase, makes this even...very very clear, in their
research! [Example: Dalai Lama, Distorts the TRUE Buddhism teachings due to
applying Lamaism!]

Hi Carlos,

It would help your thinking if you thought of Billy as a human being exactly as you and I. His knowledge is enormous in comparison, but he is a human, born on Earth. He feels pain. He feels suffering, and he can bleed like any of us. Billy will eventually die as well.

The difference, as I pointed out, is his knowledge(wisdom) he has access to. Billy feels pain, and feels memories of pain. His ability to realize the meaning of that pain is what his lessons will help lead you towards. Drama(mistakes, etc.) is where your lessons begin.

Your right, the peace meditation is your most effective method( on an individual basis), you can use to help mankind. I've had my thoughts on using this tool for a long time. Somehow, my desire(a very powerful wish of mine) was realized by another member of our FIGU form, and understood this inspiration/impulse/telepathic message, whatever, and invited me to join their Salome Peace Meditation session. Incredible is all I can say.

Don't think saying 'nothing' all the time is the answer right now. It is sometimes. You've dared to join 'FIGU', don't stop there my friend. Make your mistakes(not purposefully of course) and gather the results and really think about them. Reason will lead to logic. Logic can become wisdom(not always useable, but truth as it is). Knowledge used logically(as in for the good of all) is wisdom.

Your here, so your doing excellent!

Hi Carlos, I apologize if I have caused you any grief (sometimes I come across like a wet cat being slapped across your face).
Last fall I woke up saying Mahmoud Amadinejhad (what a mouthful). So I started researching him. It must really suck that the whole western world is against you. So I try to send him loving thoughts everyday. I'm not sure if this works, but it sure makes me feel better.

HI Justsayno

grief? no, not at all. I was referring to personal views from comments from people outside this forum, feeling vexed, and sad about their ignorant comments about things, unknowing of deeper reasons or logic

actually those comments came from work-mates

I would not take offense or feel grief from any member of this forum particularly, since, we all are in the same path, and that is, seeking for the truth, and higher values to adhere to

:-)

Hello forum members,

I have a querey regarding other possible ET encounters (Apologies if this is not the right area to post)

Are any of you familiar with the Jonathon Reed/Rutter incident with a blue skinned humanoid in the American Rockies during 1995?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeN2AXtnkVw&feature=related

Has this incident been discussed before in any FIGU context?

Thanks for your time,

Hi Carlos, I think everyone has to find their own way to the truth. Don't be discouraged. I have about 250 customers and I have only come across one who even thinks like me. So the odds are you will find no one at work that believes what you believe. But that's ok. They will get to it in their own time, some maybe never. But that's what their next reincarnation is for. Keep that chin up and smile a lot and be happy that you know. And know that you have friends here. :-)
