Peace in wisdom be with you, What about focusing our attention, energy and good will on our own situation, in order to understand the full extent of the threat of overpopulation on planet Earth and resolutely tackle it? Here is an interesting account of "the tragic history of U.S. population policy, the current situation in the face of the coming era of scarcity, and recommendations for how to resolve the situation in favor of sustainability" by Lindsey Grant, former US National Security Council Staff Member, State Department Policy Planning Staff Member & Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Environment and Population - courtesy of Mr. William Ryerson of Population Media Center: http://docs.google.com/fileview?id=0Bxq-A-AsZDhmYzQxMTI3NDctYjg3MC00OGI4LWJkNjQtNDBlZGYzNTg3N2Fj&hl=en. Hi Thomas, Rod is not implying that Billy is lying. We know that Billy will not say anything if it means the knowledge could physically harm someone. Or if he was advised by the council not to say anything. "How the hell would you know what my line looks like, it's imaginary." - my Dad, after being told by the police to walk a straight line.

*** Thomas, As you have written = [So either you believe > him and his superior sources or you believe your own inadequate > information.]. This does call for a response... I believe nothing. I do know the Truth as it enlivens my Spirit. So now you may know these words = ["Sfath once told me that one does not attain any progress and insight if one blasphemes his fellow humans, searches for their mistakes, and blabs about them to others."] --- Words from Billy. *** ~~ TRUTH finds WISDOM finds LOVE finds PEACE -- Find What You Seek ~ Rod

Peace in wisdom be with you, As i wrote to fellow CFH volunteers yesterday, the immutable law of the dialectic complementarity of polarities has been yet again strongly confirmed: i haven't quite recovered from the setback of the article 'Wall Street Journal Calls for People to Have More Children' (Wall Street Journal issue of June 19th, 2010: http://online.wsj.com/article_email/SB10001424052748704289504575313201221533826-lMyQjAxMTAwMDEwOTExNDkyWj.html), which our good friend Mr. Ryerson, president of Population Media Center, kindly shared with us, when the following message from the Nelson Mandela AIDS Foundation 46664 came in: "Subject: Re: 46664.com: Feedback From: 46664 support <support@46664.com> Date: Wed, Jun 23, 2010 6:39 am To: <adam@thecircleforhumanity.net> Dear Mr. Izak-Sunna, Thank you for getting in touch with us and for your fascinating email, brilliantly argued and full of facts. Your message has been passed on to the relevant person in the organisation. We would like to express our encouragement for your campaign. Best wishes, 46664" Note: The Nelson Mandela AIDS Foundation 46664 is an influential worldwide podium, where certain western progressive forces; African youth, intellectuals and political elite; international sports and showbusiness celebrities; the FIFA (world football(soccer) federation) and other international sports bodies; African and Afro-American artists... work together to make a difference, under the leadership of Mr. Mandela - see: http://www.46664.com/Home.aspx We all agree at the CFH, that having this Nelson Mandela Foundation effectively on board would definitively be a huge asset, for, as Stephen Moore stressed it, many out there look up to Mr. Mandela and give heed to his words and advice. Any kind of association/cooperation with this foundation would hence give a tremendous boost to the overpopulation awareness efforts - 46664 was Mr. Mandela jail's number and symbolises hope and renewal. After we have shared this news with him, Mr. Ryerson took the following important step in the field: "Subject: RE: A Request for Your Opinion - A Massive Endorsement: Nelson Mandela AIDS Foundation 46664 From: "Bill Ryerson" <ryerson@populationmedia.org> (Remove Preferred Sender) Date: Fri, Jun 25, 2010 3:33 pm To:<adam@thecircleforhumanity.net> Dear Adam, Thank you so much for your message. You have made my day. I am familiar with the work of Mr. Mandela and his organization, the Nelson Mandela AIDS Foundation 46664. I am copying our Vice President for International Programs, Kriss Barker, since she is based in South Africa. Perhaps she can meet with people at the foundation and form common cause on the importance of working toward global sustainability as the foremost ethical imperative. Best wishes, Bill" The CFH contacted '46664' a couple of days ago, in the framework of the worldwide overpopulation awareness campaign and the advocacy of an equally worldwide, ethical, democratic (applicable to each and all) and scientific birth control: http://www.futureofmankind.co.uk/Billy_Meier/Document_Distribution_to_Nelson_Mandela_AIDS_Foundation_46664.com Conclusion: our endeavour is certainly demanding and the adversity is ferocious; reason, wisdom and humanness shall nevertheless prevail, specially if we rise to the challenge and take a firm stand. We need to reach out to our fellow humans. Salome, Adam - www.thecircleforhumanity.net |

Peace in wisdom be with you, Edward! Exactly; the representative of our good partner, 'Population Media Center'/'Population Institute' in South Africa is currently contacting the board of The Nelson Mandela AIDS Foundation 46664, in order to assess what could be effectively done in the field. Updates shall eventually follow. Salome. |

Hi Rod. Just want to report a little formatting issue with the page. In the petition text, there are many unnecessary "end of line" characters, so many lines skip prematurely to the next line. But otherwise, great addition to the cause. Love makes the world go round.

Hello Sanjin, Thank you. I have just reviewed the text again at the change.org site. I do not see any format errors. What text viewer are you using?. Has anyone else seen any format errors as Sanjin describes? I might have to go back and delete the text and re-copy from a different version I have. "Population Growth Must Stop - Copy 2" "Earths population is approaching seven billion at the same time that resource limits and environmental degradation are becoming more apparent every day. Rich nations have long assured poor nations that they, too, would one day be rich and that their rates of population growth would decline, but it is no longer clear that this will occur for most of todays poor nations. Resource scarcities, especially oil, are likely to limit future economic growth; the demographic transition that has accompanied economic growth in the past may not be possible for many nations today. Nearly 220,000 people are added to the planet every day, further compounding most resource and environmental problems. The United States adds another person every eleven seconds. We can no longer wait for increasing wealth to bring down fertility in remaining high fertility nations; we need policies and incentives to stop growth now." http://campfire.theoildrum.com/node/6680 -------------------------------------------- from an oil/energy site. Perhaps one of our population activists can get in touch with the author to help him with his stats & with his cause. |

I tried with the Internet Explorer and SRWare Iron (based on Google Chrome), and both show the same. It might be because of the desktop resolution. Mine is 1280x800. Here is a screenshot of what it looks like for me: http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=5446200petition.jpg Love makes the world go round.

***** Hi Sanjin, OK take a look now. I have deleted and replaced the petition at change.org with a plain-text w/wordwrap, 12-pt version. See if it looks better to you now. New Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard says the Government is taking a new direction on Australia's future (immigration) population growth. Her population growth is based on how much people the Australia enviroment can sustain, and not on how many people it can cram in. eg US This is good news as Australia is one of the least untouched and populated countries in world and imo it should stay that way. Gillard shuts door on 'big Australia' Updated Sun Jun 27, 2010 10:13am AEST Ms Gillard says the change sends a clear message about the new direction the Government is taking. Former prime minister Kevin Rudd was in favour of population growth, with his government predicting it to hit around 36 million by 2050, largely through immigration. But Ms Gillard has indicated she will be putting the brakes on immigration in order to develop a more sustainable nation. "Australia should not hurtle down the track towards a big population," she told Fairfax. "I don't support the idea of a big Australia with arbitrary targets of, say, a 40 million-strong Australia or a 36 million-strong Australia. We need to stop, take a breath and develop policies for a sustainable Australia. "I support a population that our environment, our water, our soil, our roads and freeways, our busses, our trains and our services can sustain." http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/06/27/2938009.htm |

Wow, Ms. Gillard should be commended for her views. It is very good to see someone curtail Australia's out of control immigration policy. Now if some of the other short sighted leaders, Obama included, would follow suit, maybe we could make some progress. Mark Gilbo

i cant find anything from FIGU which explains the formula for computing the 20 acres and the ideal world's population. Unless one take the time to read all the articles under social issues to get the whole picture. i think it will help people's understanding better if the math work can be seen when 529 million and 20 acres are mentioned...maybe its somewhere in the CN? Population Growth Without Limit? -- An End to a Taboo Subject! "According to our calculations at that time, this tolerable mass was calculated to be 529 million people — a population total that can guarantee all resources would be available in abundance, that naturefs ability for regeneration is preserved and that large areas remain where the animal and plant kingdoms could develop undisturbed." A Crusade Against Overpopulation "The truth is that Earth is a wondrous planet, but it has only the capacity to support and feed in every way and in abundance 529 million people." The closest explanation i can find on the site is more than half way down this page; Overpopulation Bomb "A few words must be directed toward food production. A mere 12% of the entire Earth's landmass surface is entirely arable for agricultural and horticultural purposes. The remainder of the planet's surface consists of areas that cannot be cultivated, such as mountains, rocky terrains, tundras, arid regions, forests and deserts. However, the 12% arable land is not proportional to the mass of humanity, because one single human being requires by nature a living space of 83,333 square meters (99,665 sq. yds.), and 4000 square meters, or 63.245 x 63.245 meters (4784 sq. yds. or 69.166 x 69.166 yards) of fertile ground or garden soil is required to feed him- or herself. Calculated for 6 billion people, this amounts to a total arable landmass requirement of approximately 24 million square kilometers (9.3 million square miles). Such an expanse is not available, however, because the entire planet's 12% arable land amounts to 18 million square kilometers (7.0 million square miles) – 6 million square kilometers (2.3 million sq. mi.) less than the 6 billion-strong humanity requires for adequate food production."
