... Best Greetings to All in Peace, I have examined the different approaches on YouTube to the Over-Population issue. It would be a very tough go. Every video I saw there was concerned with "hidden agendas" or "conspiracies." In the search box, I typed in just the single word 'population-,' and ten subtopics popped up: 1. -control, 2. -436 (movie review), 3. -growth, 4. -reduction, 5. -explosion, 6. -Zero, 7. -override. 8. -1, 9. -control agenda, and 10. -density. All these subtopics also had multiple contributed videos. Not a single one of which presented the problem of Over-Population as an issue which must be solved. Mostly all 'scare tactics' to cause people to have a negative view of population control or birth stops. So the ignorance of a great many people must be overcome first to get their attention. IMHO, YouTube is a dead-end for the initiative. A more subtle approach to begin with, is to 'sell the idea' in a positive light to get people to 'buy-in and own the idea' for themselves. IMO, we may have some better results with an advertising campaign, along with the petitions to responsible governments, agencies, and organizations. Now, if we could get Warren Buffett to lend some financial support, the ad-campaign goes forward worldwide. I have seen that Mr. Buffett is already in favor of Population Reduction / Over-Population control. Does anyone know how to get a message to him, to ask for his help with this? Salome ... Thank you for the link, mister Horn; professor Lovelock could indeed be an important ally on global, environmental issues. Herr Rod, Bruder im Geist, Your perspective and reservedness regarding the effect of YouTube are understandable: contemplate positive and quick reactions and enjoying the fruit of our endeavor, we shall not. It shall be enough to correctly sow the seeds; future generations would look after the plants. It is about making overpopulation, like any other given issue, a question one openly speaks of, discusses. Having overpopulation - seen from this specific angle - out there, as an objective information made broadly available for people to freely assess and make up their mind about it, shall be the goal. Breaking the taboo. Internet, including Youtube, is an ally, when wisely used; it is a tool of the Mission on the watch of the 'Water Bearer'. He generally goes through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Dear members, Pelosi and Obama, a couple of super power forces, have already taken huge and immediate steps toward fighting overpopulation. (Have there been friendly impulse from our ET friends and Billy? most probably, IMO.)  This is the greatest opportunity for us to contact both with the perfect letter to initiate something in the right direction. This letter must be as close to perfect as possible. Therefore, this is a request from all the members with good writing techniques, to please participate and come up with a one page letter that all of us can use to bombard them with. Last but not least, same letter/concept can be used for the other (just as important, if not more) avenue Rod is approaching to get that much needed grant for this crusade. I used it in a correspondence to the white house using the email provided by member J_rod7, about the issue of overpopulation in addition to the religion letter he recommended.
