Michael,
It’s mindboggling how obliviously ignorant that some highly educated scientists can be. SETI may advertise that they are a not-for-profit research organization; however, those scientists pushing SETI, depend on this con for their personal profit and gain. This scam is a hot button for me.
Dr. Seth Shostak, director of the center for SETI have learned nothing from the Billy Meier case. It appears that these so called scientists will eventually go down in history as the preverbal naysayer of the “Galileo concept”, where back in the day, Galileo was the exemplar of religious bigotry. Today Meier is provided a similar example of bigotry from SETI and even MUFON for that matter, as Meier does not fit into the aforementioned preconceived conceptions.
Today the SETI Institute is asking for donations to help raise $80,000 to fund the search for life on Mars? With what, an Earth telescope or listening device that searches for intelligent extraterrestrial life by monitoring electromagnetic radiation for signs of transmissions from civilizations? Why hasn’t SETI picked up any transmissions from the Plejaren or Timar in the Akon star system of the DAL Universe, or the thousands of other inhabited solar systems and planets, according to the Plejaren?
Your statement is perfect: “We do rely on various kinds of photographs of Pluto; the closest were taken 8,000 miles from it. Meier’s closest photos of the WCUFO were taken within…15’.”
“The SETI Institute doesn’t investigate UFO phenomena.” In other words, when an extraterrestrial civilization develops space travel, their ignored? What kind of BS double talk is that!?
… “to rise above the trend of OED’s (Over Educated Dummies)” Perfect statement fit. Sorry about the rant; after working in the science and aerospace industry most of my career, this kind of twaddle exasperates me.

The Military Industrial Complex has developed a new and deadly tool. The MXT135 Counter Defilade Target Engagement System which has a range of roughly 7,800 feet or 1.5 miles (2,377 kilometers).
The rifle's gun sight uses a laser range finder to determine the exact distance to the obstruction, after which the soldier can add or subtract up to 10 meters from that distance to enable the bullets to clear the barrier and explode above or beside the target.
Soldiers will be able to use them to target snipers hidden in trenches rather than calling in air strikes. The 35-millimeter round contains a chip that receives a radio signal from the gun sight as to the precise distance to the target.
Lt. Col. Christopher Lehner, project manager for the system, described the weapon as a 'game-changer' that other nations will try and copy.
The Army plans to buy 42,500 of the MXT135 rifles, enough for every member of the infantry and Special Forces, at a cost of $11,900.00 each. Lehner told Fox News: "With this weapon system, we take away cover [from enemy targets] forever. Tactics are going to have to be rewritten. The only thing we can see [enemies] being able to do is run away."
The MXT135 appears to be the perfect weapon for street-to-street fighting that troops in Afghanistan have to engage in, with enemy fighters hiding behind walls and only breaking cover to fire occasionally. The weapon's laser finder would work out how far away the enemy was and then the Soldier would add one meter using a button near the trigger. When fired, the explosive round would carry exactly one meter past the wall and explode with the force of a hand grenade above the Taliban fighter.
The army's project manager for new weapons, Douglas Tamilio, said:
''This is the first leap-ahead technology for troops that we've been able to develop and deploy." A patent granted to the bullet's maker, Alliant Tech systems, reveals that the chip can determine how far it has traveled.
Mr. Tamilio said: "You could shoot a Javelin missile, and it would cost about $69,000.
These rounds will end up costing $45.00 apiece." They're relatively cheap. The rifle will initially use high-explosive rounds, but its makers say that it might later use versions with smaller explosive charges that aim to stun rather than kill. Round is 35 mm; approximately 1 3/8” diameter.

This is indeed a game changer. How many will be sold or whatever to other countries will also be a mess. I expect the upper hand will be short-lived. While I understand that the Taliband etc. are violence bent and no amount of hugs and rainbow glitter will ever change that it still saddens me that himans need to go this route. Would be nice if we as humans could find another way to sort out our differences although this may also be a symptom of over population ? ,what do you think on that ? |

Under the surface, “Over Population” could very well be at the core of this issue, which involves various imported resources such as oil. Other items that the general public rarely hears about is the importation of nickel and rear earth minerals to include neodymium, samarium, dysprosium and lanthanum oxide for the manufacture of computers, cell phones, flat-panel TV’s, jet fighter engines, antimissile defense systems, night vision goggles, smart bombs and the refinement of gasoline to name a few.
“China’s leverage on the global market for rare earth minerals has unnerved many of its neighbors and trading partners: American manufacturers — including many in Michigan — are understandably worried about supply disruptions like the one in 2007 when China halted shipments of rare earth metals to a U.S. petroleum refining company for so long that it led to concerns that the cutoff might cause a nationwide gasoline shortage. In 2010, following a skirmish over fishing rights in the East China Sea, China cut off shipments of certain rare earth minerals to Japan.”
The American public is told that this development of better and better weapons is for the defense of America and world security. However, few understand that this is also for human control, domestic and foreign which appears is more about world domination and control?

Linda,
If you check the numbers of oil consumtion of US military you might be surprised(more than some countries on Earth). To maintain that power and positon military need more sophisticated armament and oil.
And if you think about wars in Middle East then it is clear that its about resources. It is clearly overpopulation issue. |

Please pardon my late responses. Thank you for this information. This seems to me to explain why everyone wants to villainize China. If they can take over China they take over the Rare Minerals. |
