Matthew in the end we alone are responsible for exercising our freedom of choice to decide for ourselves what is and isn't the truth based on our own effort of discernment. Getting things wrong is integral part of the learning process but then again so is having the courage to admit that one is wrong when one has indeed made a mistake of judgement based on faulty thinking. Time will obviously tell and it usually does so we'll just have to wait and see how the situation plays out in the future that may brings to light, as a result of more people coming forward through deathbed confessions, what exactly went on that day which may lend added credence to Judy Wood's work or to outright discredit it. It's still premature to dismiss her works outright as if we know more than an expert like her in her field in light of the fact that some of her findings make logical and factual sense. Opinions aren't necessarily based on truth nor is the truth dependent on the opinions of people as facts of truth can only be based on all existing conditions that are true, existing and real so if possible it does help the process to arrive closer to the truth if we leave out our own biases, stuck opinions, misconceptions, ignorance, prejudices, cognitive distortions and more importantly our own sense of egoism or egoistic thinking. All this applies to me, you and everyone as we are all guilty at various times in our lives of these states so we must be on guard lest we succumb to delusions and illusions. Matt lee | ||
