Dear Sonik:

Let me tell you a few words about this. I don’t think that the will to learn German has to do with the occult forces. But if it is so, Billy told me that you have to fight these with a strategy. You have to come up with a plan of attack…for example at 8 pm every Wednesday, you have to drop everything and go on line to learn German. If you email me I will send you great web sites to learn German in a fun way and they are free. These are for super beginners and it’s made by the television network from Germany. Because Billy writes in German from Germany. Also I can send you a text that I translated and it talks about leaving your old ways to begin your evolution once and for all.

You don’t have to learn German to start your evolution, there is so much material in English, but you will benefit from reading German. The same happens to me. I sometimes get a little lazy and don’t meditate or do my translation work, but after I visited the center I told myself that every minute I spend doing something silly, I am throwing away the opportunity to better my lives ahead of me.

Hello Sonik_01
(#225)

Note: Based on your post, you actually do have the "will" and the discipline to do it. I can readily tell from my martial arts experience as student and instructor.

""Part I
I have very much difficulty finding the will to learn German. I have plenty of time, but no will to do it. It seems like a tremendous task.""

The above statement is a reflection (self-portrait) of your subconscious view-point. Especially this statement "It seems like a tremendous task." The key word is "seems."

""Whenever I do have time, I always procrastinate until time has run out, like tonight.""

Subconsciously, you have belief-programmings that are under the understanding that no matter what, you do not wish to study something, which an external source has let you know, that it is "good for you." If you will consider something you find enjoyable to do, you have the fastest running feet towards it...but something that is considered "good for you" -the feet tend to slow down and even hesitant towards what you "know" you must do.

""I think of a thousand other things to do besides this, when I know this is the key thing I should be doing in my life right now. The most important thing.""

See what I mean?

""It was also the same for me in school with doing homework. I never did it, and always flunked.""

Somehow, this subconscious programming got in your head some time ago and you can see evidence of it with your school years.

""I want to stop being a failure and discipline my mind to follow my thoughts. I want to stop being at the mercy of my complacency and use the power of my mind. I want to discipline my mind to follow my will and do productive things, such as study and learn. I can't learn German because I'm too distracted on other nothings, and I can't access the Geisteslehre because I can't learn German. What can I do?""

Although the above quote/statement from you is clearly to identify, never the less, on a subconscious level, those statements are subconsciously self-punishing by nature. This is the very cause of your subconscious programming; designed to "protect" you from "having to do" something you "would rather" not be doing. This programming is associated with anything you have to "study" or that "would be beneficial" to you.

ie: The thought or realization that
(1) something to study is important to your life,
(2) everyone knows this is important,
(3) I need/want this because it's important
(4) etc.

Let me share some suggestions.

Jshwsh Ptaah explained that these neural programmings require, on average, 52 days to resolve or reprogram through continued daily activity.
You will need to printout three small calendar months. Leave room to write "Did It" on the days and times selected to read with a little box to check-mark when completed. You may want to also write where you left off in your reading (chapter/page & verse).
1) Week One: Designate 1 or 2 days of the week where you will sit to read & analyze the teachings.
2) Week Two: Designate an additional day. (2 or 3 days)
3) Week Three: Designate an additional day. (3 or 4 days)
4) Week Four: Designate an additional day. (4 or 5 days)

The first month will be the most rewarding. Start each reading with a few minutes of meditation exercise and cultivate your connection with Creation, get in touch with the Oneness and come into full view and realization of the power of Consciousness. Factually and plainly, process the view and imagery of the state of mind or the trait you wish to embody and view through your imagination yourself as a personality who thinks and acts according to this view, "at the present" and not as someone or something you "wish" you were or possessed. It must be existing in the "present tense" and as if factual. Then express to your Consciousness the sincere desire that it help you cultivate this new paradigm within your make up, your psyche, your subconsciousness and let yourself (Consciousness/psyche) know that it is so (approve of it).

The calendars will function as reward, subconscious acknowledgment and approval for the new paradigm and the subconscious mind will be receptive and not antagonistic since it will recognize that you indeed want to change this programming.

""Maybe you can write an article on this (discipline) because I know it's a common problem.""

Indeed friend, your post will be of much help to all of us that are struggling with this.

Salome,
Eddie

Language is a material part of existence that will need to be re-learned each time our spirit form incarnates in to a new body.

Our material intellectual consciousness uses the language(s) we intially learn as a child to help us integrate into and learn from the environment we are raised in.

As a child, the language(s) we first learn is based on the language(s) of communication natural to those we are raised by. Then school happens and we learn the community chosen language of communication, if it not the same as the one taught to us by those raising us. In most cases they will be the same language.

In communication we try to transfer a thought with intent to another. Each language has its own way of transferring the same thought with intent, but the words, phrases, sentences and paragraphs are put together differently for each language. I understand that is why they called are different languages. However it is the thought with intent behind it that is being transferred regardless of the language used to do it.

I was raised and taught using the English language. This is now my primary communication language, how I transfer my thoughts with intent.

I will skip everything that got me to the point of beginning to study the wisdom that Billy had to share, which was available in English (the Message from the Pleiades 1-4 as each became available). When Wendelle's un-edited version of these books came out on CD I realized that translation to English from the original German was subjective based on who did the actual translation and that I would no longer depend on someone else to transfer Billy's thoughts with his intent, as the translator would always incorporate their own intent into the thought transfer when they used their wording. This is when I made the decision to start translating for myself. (As is evident in all translations of spiritual teachings from our past).

Learning the German language was hardest in the beginning because I didn't know where to start. At first I purchased several different quick-learning conversational German language courses (advertised on TV and the internet), but they had nothing to do with the German text I wanted to learn. I decided to try another method. That is when I started using the available online translators. These worked on the text in entire websites Figu.org/ch. This was great at making other information available to me.
This is when the need for purchasing the german to English/ English to German dictionaries came in as the translators were still subjective in that the programmers that coded them did it based on their understanding not using the intent I was trying to understand. Grammar came next as the translated words, phrases, sentences, and paragraphs did not always make sense. This is when I discovered that breaking the sentences Billy used up into the phrases (separated by periods, commas, and each "und" (and) he used), and translate each phrase as a separate line. This then made each phrase make more sense and I only had to look up the words that still did not fit into the context of the phrase and overall sentence. The more I studied each word, phrase, sentence, and sentence the more familiar I was becoming with the German language and actually learning it, word by word.

I still have a lot to learn and it is not easy, and very time consuming, but I feel a great joy with each bit of wisdom I am allowing myself to receive from Billy's thought transfers with the intent I am slowly able to understand. I still will also dedicate more of my time to learning conversational German, as it will become easier with the knowledge I obtain doing the translation work. Although I am obtaining my own library of translated material I still believe it is important for each person to do it for themselves. Starting now with what is left of this lifetime as the same requirement will exist in each of the following material cycles our spirit form will incarnate into.

One last point I want to emphasize: Language is a material part of existence that will need to be re-learned each time our spirit form incarnates in to a new body.
BUT, the knowledge stored in our spiritual subconscious will be there in our next incarnation for us to help make the understanding quicker and easier when we again have to learn the German language to receive the thought with intent Billy ment for us to receive.

My best wishes and Love to all those that decide to make this decision for themselves.

Here are some little enlightenment on both Thoughts and Thinking:

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again.

Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but you still can't
help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs...

Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

Amen

One thing I didn't mention. I also obtained a scanner with OCR software to extract the German text to put into the online translator, rather than typing everything over. Some corrections will still need to be made as the Optical Character Recognition software is not perfect either but it has sure made it easier for all printed German material.

Please everybody, will you stay on topic?.

Sonik asked for ideas on his motivation issues which is probably not too suitable for a forum such as this anyway, he did not ask advice about how to learn German.

There is a section for the discussion of learning German here on the forum, so would all those posters who would like to discuss or comment about learning German etc... please repost and place in the appropriate section.

All the posts in the queue on learning German from now will be rejected.

------------

Sonik, re your problem with motivation to get moving: Maybe you are just not quite ready at this time to learn to read German for the purpose of studying the material. Instead, you could just let go of that as a pressure or stress which could lead to negative feelings about yourself and your abilities, and study happily and free of stress, the material that is available in English, of which there is plenty as you know.

When you are ready, you will be motivated. As a person who teaches a few different disciplines, my experience has shown me that those who are ready to learn something don't lack the motivation or means to make it happen.

On the other hand, those who just have the desire, but lack the necessary means, abilities, or circumstances etc... are not motivated to learn something that has a level of difficulty involved.

Sometimes, we have to overcome other obstacles that are more important than eg., learning German, before we will be free or unburdened enough to have the space left to do that.

Partake of activities that keep you around the German texts, as in doing small amounts of translation for yourself, and just enjoy studying the wealth of info that is in English for now.

Making efforts to become more disciplined frst, in other areas of your life, will train you to be disciplined generally. Then you can use that new skill for something like learning German if there is sufficient interest and interest for the correct reasons to do so.

I don't think it is anyone's place here to psychoanalyse you!

I am just offering another perspective to consider.

Dear Robyn:

Maybe Sonic should have chosen a different thread like learning German or the Occult Forces. But we got caught up with the conversation because his post was approved here in the “spiritual teachings”.

I just wanted to say that I have taken German classes at the University and the teacher gave us great web sites to learn German.

And a general suggestion for forum users, and I am not trying to interfere in the work of the moderators. Try to write your comments directed either to all members, or when you want a response from a moderator write: Dear moderator, because I think Robyn’s advice is perfect and Sonik agrees with her. This way we can save time for everybody :-)

I just reread my post above #605, and just want to clear up something that I wrote that is not what it sounds like.

I said:
"All the posts in the queue on learning German from now will be rejected. "

What I meant was that - all posts in 'this' thread that pertain to learning German, will be rejected - not that all posts on learning German, in the correct section will too be rejected.

Marcela, Sonik was not asking about how to learn German, he was asking for ideas from the forum members about motivation and discipline.

Any good ideas from anyone on the learning of German are welcome in the learning German section.
There is also a section for discussing translations etc....

Best to try and stick to thinking and thoughts in this thread.

Sorry if I created any confusion here on this.

I would say that the motivation of any subject , learning , or producing any kind of work or product , would require creating a will for the needed activity to desired effect . BEAM has written this phrase among his writings , and the simplicity of it should help anyone who ponders it's meaning .

'Create a Will' for whatever you want to accomplish .

Hi Everyone,

I would like to clarify on the meaning of my post, since it is not clear or focused, and has created alot of confusion.

I was asking about learning to learn. Using one's thoughts, disciplining one's thoughts to use them to learn. Now whether it be German, or quantum physics, or psychology, or electrical theory, etc, or whatever, is up to the individual himself. Learning needs calm, focus, discipline, and a strategy. Now what that strategy might be, or how to acquire that discipline, I don't know. That's what I was asking about, and also theory about learning in general.

What was interesting was Eddie's post about it taking 52 days to reprogram one's thought patterns. Where did you see that, Eddie? I would also like some strategies on disciplining one's thoughts to use them for learning (anything).

As you can see, my question was quite specific. Sorry if my post wasn't clear, and for all the confusion its created.

Thanks to everyone...

Hello Sonik_01
(#227)

I don't recollect the exact Contact Report where Ptaah and Billy discuss this time requirement. Jshwsh Ptaah summed it up and explained it in relatively few sentences, yet remarkably thorough and enlightening. He explained that this time factor is dependent on the individual and the effort; so it can take a little less or a little more time- but not by much.

Remember, your brain will be in the process of breaking down brain tissue (neural net sites) with the old programmings. It will constantly make attempts to contradict you in its design to bring to your awareness that this physiological change is taking place; in case you did not intend to change it (distractions, lack of motivation for it, distracting thoughts and ideas, etc.).

Then the body will take amino acids and other bio-materials and create new neural nets and sites with the new paradigm programming. How long does it take the body to manufacture this new neural tissue? The 52 days mentioned by Jshwsh Ptaah makes logical sense since these neural sites are very small but pack a lot of information. Wounds heal far before 52 days, so a small patch of new nerve tissue would conceivably be produced and programmed in that time frame.

Simply know that "the will" is nothing short of a determined decision you combine with action. Certainly, you will find that you can generate this "will" at will when it suits you. So no worries there.

Using the calendars as a visual aid to move you to fulfilling your intents will be a powerful tool. Your subconscious mind does not know if your intentions are to change this programming (deleting the programming and dissolving the tissues containing it).

What that means is that, when you come across the distractions, lack of motivation and so on, you are in fact receiving signals from your brain asking you to confirm this change. If you act on the distractions, your confirmation is that you do not want this change. If you act on your pre-determined schedule and actions, you will reinforce the signal to change and within a few weeks, you will not experience the distractions but will instead find pleasure and cognitions during your studies.

You are in for some very exciting experiences during this process where the brain builds new neural sites with new paradigms.

Salome,
Eddie

Your welcome Jun.

Post anything you discover that may lend more to this method. In addition, you may want to read the following from Jacob. The first part covers the "will" and what it is. Very interesting reading. Short and to the point.

I would also highly recommend Jacob's post # 663 (posted on Wednesday, June 15, 2011). Very powerful stuff.

Dear Robyn:

I wanted him to find motivation on the web sites I was offering. When you offer the right tools to an unmotivated student, sometimes they take off from there. I am a language teacher, this is why I wanted him to find his motivation to learn German on line. But if you say that he was talking about motivation in general, then so it is :-)

It's always great to see how people are willing to support or provide a person with their point of view. Does not always have to be correct, but the intent is what counts, especially when it stems from a willingness to help someone overcome an obstacle.

Hey Bronzdesk,

"Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again." LoL ... good expression of a good thought. Made me laugh, and good humor is essential for a light heart.

Jacob, Your thoughts and contributions are of very high value for all of us. Would you consider writing a book with your observations and insights so clearly stated?

I think that every logical thought and contribution is of very high value for all of us, regardless from who it comes.
I am considering writing a book indeed, but these factors have to be considered:

-It would nothing but an introduction to the Geisteslehre since the available material is so vast it is impossible to write one comprehensive book.

-It would absolutely contain original texts and their English translations.

-It would be absolutely required that such manuscript needs to be evaluated by the CG of 49 and Eduard and obtain its approval for publication, then and only then it would come into existence.

-If a book would come into existence, it would be available as electronic download under an “Creative Commons Attribution License”, hardcopy would be a different story since that would cost money to print, which exceeds my financial means, except when sufficient funds could be raised in such a case.

Anyway, at this moment its still conceptual and in the most positive case I think such a book would not be in existence before 2013.

Jacob

Jacob,

I would purchase at least 10 such books a year for myself and friends. Your neutral/positive stance has shown thru and made many challenging subjects understandable for the level I am at. I consider your efforts for trying to help fellow students at the highest possible point for comprehension when dealing with very difficult material, and without being in a classroom. I have no doubt that any final product you do finish and offer to others will contain real truths we can use in our daily lives. Your Engish explanations are a true asset to Billy's German spiritual writings.

I wait paiently for such a treasure.

i also have an idea and intention to write a book.
the idea is that it would be a question/answer format of topics such as, death, reincarnation, love, war, spirituality etc, but the answers would be from children.
basically i would just kep a notpad with me and when the chance arises, i would write down a said question with a childs response, than when i have logged about 300-500 Q and A's, i would but them together in a dated format/order. the other half of the book would be basically my views and thoughts about children, childhood and their importance to the social structure of a family etc.
i would intend it to be amusing and interesting for both children and adults. i would really love to start to compile a series of questions and answers when i visit the sssc for the first time, and talk to the children that would hopefully be present.
first i have to produce a few copies of a music cd, use that money to save up for a plane ticket to figu. i hope to visit the centre before janruary.

Hi Jacob....

Yes, would be a very good idea!

Even though we, at this board, do at times Interpret a subject/matter in our
own Logic and in our own words(self-analyses), it may indeed need more 'depth
of thinking' for others to conduct, than those whom understand it 'on the
spot', so to speak.

Billy did once mentioned, that a certain matter/subject can be Interpreted in,
what was it: 2,5 millions ways, and still mean the same thing, ONLY, it is
interpreted differently in the Words (and Minds) of that/those individual/s.

Well, if we think of the MANY human (and non human) species out there within
Creation, the above mentioned would indeed apply.

Thus, we have to indeed....keep an 'Open Mind'...for all the contributions.

Edward.
