I find it very interesting that nasa send Dawn to check out Vesta and Ceres, two dwarf planets in the asteroid belt. Vesta will be visited in July 2011 and I noticed (on wiki) that Ceres will be at its brightest (seen from earth) on December 18, 2012. http://dawn.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/dawn_fact_sheet.pdf Here's an artist's rendering of Vesta. Re: the simulated video of Gabrielle Giffords shooting, why the heck can't they just show the actual video??? Because they are afraid that we will know the shooter was standing right beside her??? I have no idea how the person charged with the crime shot her in the back of the head since he was in front of her. (Sorry just ranting now) Good, better, best. Earthling is right on some things, but you have to have a little "faith" in your government. In all fairness though Starr life is worse with the sad depressive talk. I mean seriously, we all are in a state of depression, and by "we" I mean everyone on Earth. It's pretty sad when I turn on the world news and all I see is the current events, that most of them, are bad. We all want the answers, and some of us think they have them all, even Billy. No matter what way you think about it, in the end, we are all the same...Creatures of life and death. I know this wasn't on Topic and I am sorry for that, but I can't watch people post something like that and not step in. Starr, don't get so wrapped up in possible outcomes for this planet as a whole .. otherwise known as prophecies. It's up to you to take the reins. Else you will be easy prey for the panic/fear mongers, and to panic and fear themselves. Like I said earlier, there will be some indigestion when first getting into this, the true truth. Did Billy gave the reason why Apophis asteroid was called as "Red Meteor" ? The "Torino Scale", "LL Chondrite",..we suppose they were what Plejaren meant back in 1981. Do the Plejaren really mean them when they refer "Red Meteor" ? Its interesting that nasa visit Vesta and Ceres in these times as a WW3 really threatens. If im not mistaken, Vesta and ceres are in the asteroid belt and the asteroid belt is the remains of planet malon which was destroyed in war by its inhabitants, (our Ancestors). Perhaps a message to some powerfull groups? | ||

We now have, or are in the process of developing, a far cheaper source or energy. It is nothing mysterious but does perhaps relate to something Billy and Quetzal have talked about. The cheaper energy system we are apparently converting to is Natural Gas. This will become clearer if/when the popularly-coined Picken's Bill is passed later this year. This will begin the establishment of LNG stations across the US; and the simple conversion of gasoline cars to LNG cars that will run at a mere fraction of the cost of running oil fired cars. Already increasing numbers of trucks are converting to LNG for economic reasons; each truck can save approximately $75,000 a year on running costs according to estimates. The US Marcellus shale deposits will swamp the US with gas at a very cheap price, and the US is already awash in NG. NG is everywhere. Europe has its own supply; it is even bigger than the Marcellus deposits, and exists around the Baltic region. What is particularly interesting about this is that Europe will certainly go ahead and use this resource rather than import NG from the US or Russia. Now this means massive mining and fracking in Europe on a scale unimaginable before. I have often wondered how the Red Meteor could result in the possible splitting of the land mass between the Black Sea and the North Sea resulting in the formation of a new (presumably island European) continent. Our scientists' meteor impact models just do not see this as a possibility from a mere 360m diameter meteor. When, however, we input the incredibly weakened geology after extracting inconceivable amounts of gas from the soon-to-be fractured rocks beneath Europe we begin to see just why Quetzal said this rending of the Earth's crust is "possible" but not yet certain. Perhaps at the time he was unsure whether the Europeans would be going ahead with this massive mining project under their lands because it hadn't even been discovered at the time. Now we know that it is very likely -- unless there is action to prevent it -- that the massive fracking and upcoming extraction of immeasurable volumes of NG from right across the Baltic regions could weaken the geological structure of Europe to just such an extent that what Quetzal warned of could indeed happen. Hi Chris.... Yes, that is just common logic, what you described. Is my thought, also. The mining contribute immensely!! Speaks, for itself.... If there is ever an ocean quake or an earth quake around our small Holland, the exhausted gas cavities would surely contribute to Holland 'disappearing' into the ocean....; just an example. I'm a little confused about the topic switch, are we talking about Earthquakes, or Asteroids? On the Asteroids, this is probably one of the few contact notes I regrettably did;t pay a whole of attention to. So an asteriod is expect around 2036, what are our scientist trying to do about it? The Red Meteor is estimated to be around 350 meters of rock composition so in theory it should create a crater approximately 40 times this diameter so roughly if it survives the initial atmospheric burn intact and impacts Earth, it would create a crater about 14 kilo meters in diameter. Depending on angle of impact and whether it impacts head on which will certainly more than double its velocity, thus quadruple its energy or impacts following Earth’s direction of travel, never the less it would release more energy than the Barringer crater in Arizona which was caused by a smaller nickel/iron projectile about 100 feet in diameter. An impact study for Red Meteor prophecy in relation to North - Black Sea split scenario. Direct hit along the dashed line would result in separation of the crust along existing tectonic plates. Dashed line and red lines represent existing tectonic plates - according to wiki.  Highest probability of the continent split would result, in my opinion, if the impact occurred by Tatra, Carpathian Mountains as marked on the map. Most affected country is Poland. Its territory and cultural past sees to exist. |
