Do not worry about overpopulation, this problem has already been fixed. Obama signed the bill H.R. 933 that gives to the Monsanto's company permission to poison the food of all USA and the world, ... with the exception of KOSHER food of course. Stephen, The film was well-made, and was very good. I liked how they included Lester Brown and Paul Ehrlich as cast in the film so they could express their views. I liked how they mentioned overshoot, and how overpopulation is causing poverty and countries cannot meet their citizen's basic needs. They also mentioned the fact that if every other country consumed as much as the US, we would need 6 earth's to regenerate the resources. I was surprised how difficult it is for someone to get permanent sterilization even if they want it, what a shame. I liked how they mentioned there is no way to change the destructive cycle of overbreeding w/o changing the status of women worldwide (70% of people living in absolute poverty are women). I like how they mention that we shouldn't listen to the "be fruitful and multiply" Bible passage, and how they mention the Catholic Church downplays any contraception legislation due to their observer status in the United Nations, which quite frankly, upsets me. I like how in Ethiopia, as a result .of the radio drama, contraception has increased 157% I like how Paul Ehrlich stated that it is best to control the population early, because to do it humanely takes decades. I hope we learn this as a species before the dictatorships take over in the future and do so inhumanely to control the populations (probably after we suffer from the worst environmental catastrophes the earth has ever seen). I like how towards the end the one Dr. mentioned the real wealth of a nation is the contribution of it's people and how we need a shift that takes care of people starting from early childhood. She also mentioned that the Nordic nations that have figured this out have low and stable populations. If I was in charge I would have this movie in theaters instead of the mostly Hollywood crap, and considering climate change gets on average 5 mins a year in coverage on major news networks, and overpopulation gets zero mins, this would really make our people more knowledgeable. May some leaders who are self-imposedly in charge see this film and make some real changes! I shared this film with the few friends that I have that are interested in overpopulation, and maybe they will share it with a few others and so on... If the Earth is destroyed or if a large portion of the population is quickly reduced (unnatural) what happens to all our spirits? Are we placed in a queue so to speak in wait for a body to occupy? Mark; If the Earth was destroyed then all of our spirits would move to the next closest planet that is closest to our evolutionary level,probably Akhart.If i'm not mistaken Billy mentioned this on his great journey,where he was in the great spacer and saw a huge globular green mass traveling through space and they mentioned that a planet had been destroyed or something and were going to another planet to be incorporated somewhere. If a bunch of people died here they would just move back into the regular spiritual incarnation process in and around our planet. | ||

If an unnatural event occurred and our population was quickly reduced, the spirit-forms would go the the beyond in a waiting position, where the OCB would be programming the next new incarnation and personality for the next cycle of a lifetime here on Earth. This will apply if a wwIII happens in the future, and 2/3 of the human race dies as a result. If a planet is destroyed, the spirit forms would travel through space to the next closest planet with a similar evolutionary level. as a side note: as a result of overpopulation, time in the beyond can be reduced to 1/15 the normal time, which results in less programming, disorders, people not living up to their full determinations, problems with stablity, and other negative factors with being born too early. Rintin, OCB = Overall Consciousness Block. It is a storage bank that is created by the spirit-form in the beyond after you die. This OCB ..... isn't it somewhat like a role playing game where participants accumulate experience points which are distributed among a variety of useable skills and traits as the game progresses except in this case the accrued added values are processed and applied towards the construction of a new personality between lives ready for the next game (incarnation) so similar to saving a computer game, applying reward points then continuing with improved - enhanced statistics as the game continues. When I checked into Planned Parenthood a number of years ago, I found their philosophy and modality to be remarkably positive and progressive. The service they provide is run by women, and the way they go about it is sensitive to the emotional needs of both girls and women. They do much more than provide abortion services - it really is deliberate family planning. Even though their time frame for when the fetus becomes a sentient child is tragically off, they are moving in the right direction by introducing the idea that each woman should deliberately plan for the kinda family she wishes to have. Perhaps their best service has been to push our society into an awareness of the need for making contraception freely available to the young and indigent, without any regard to the various stigmas people place upon sex. I don't think PP set out to address overpop directly, but rather to address problems women were having in controlling their own lives. Still, I think they have become part of the solution our society is choosing to use to address the overpop conundrum. Life | ||

Marbar, That is a good question with possible paradoxes for answers. They cut down on teen pregnancies for one thing, which helps the overpopulation ratio and people having kids while they are still kids themselves. They provide free or low cost birth control for poor people, which I support, and helps population levels. They also stand for a women's choice for procreation, which is positive. Abortions procedures completed after the 21st day should only be done in emergencies such as rape (according to OM). So their abortions reduce population levels but if we take the teachings literally it is murder if done too late, so like I said paradoxes. Refreshing and disturbing at the same time: Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late Steve Irwin, at 14 years old nails it with her essay to Hillary Clintons' e-Journal about the environment as she chose to focus on overpopulation. She not only understands the issues but also was able to explain them well. Her mother is quoted as saying "It's interesting that she was asked to write an essay about the environment and included the consideration of population (growth) and they returned her essay edited and completely edited that out" I am thoroughly impressed with her tenacity to stand up to Hillary and the State Department by requesting that the edited version not be published.
