In the United States, the current median household income of about ~$52,000 per year. With the church recommended tithe (church tax) of 10%, which would equate to $5,200 per year, per household. There are approximately 115,227,000 households in the U.S. Granted, not everyone pays the “church tax”. So in short, the church takes in millions of $$ from their followers and tells them to continue to pro-create and overpopulate!

All churches should lose their non profit status and pay taxes...then watch them start folding.

Kenneth

The catholic church does not ask for tithing like the other ones. Only a donation on Sundays for the upkeep of individual churches.

Regarding “Overpopulation”; it would appear this may have started back in the medieval times to provide combatants and warriors for the church and various religious warlords?

Apparently numerous churches and religions in the past up to the present have encouraged families to procreate in abundance. For instance, in the medieval times, churches ruled the masses and often waged war against other basilicas, such as Catholic’s against the Protestants.

“…the goal for a woman was to give birth to as many children as possible and nurse them all into good health…”

“The European wars of religion were a series of religious wars waged in Europe from 1524 to 1648, following the onset of the Protestant Reformation in Central, Western and Northern Europe. The conflicts ended with the Peace of Westphalia recognizing three separate Christian traditions in the Holy Roman Empire: Roman Catholicism, Lutheranism, and Calvinism, otherwise known as the Reformed tradition.”

In the present day; a radical Muslim fighter has been quotes as saying; “the best weapon is 'the womb.”

A top Iman has told Muslims to use the migrant crisis to breed with European citizens and 'conquer their countries'.

In closing, religion would seem be the predominate and preponderate way of cloaking the truth with falseness and creating overpopulation, which today continues, as a result of the lack of the knowledge of the Creational Laws and associated recommendations.

Regarding "overpopulation" and having friends that are Mormon, apparently “members of the LDS Church are to pay "one-tenth of all their income annually; "member annually meet with the bishop to affirm their tithing status, apparently tithing is considered a debt, it’s also an entrance fee so to speak; full-tithe paying members are allowed to enter the church's most holy temple, and participate in important decrees.”

As informed, “Tithing is an ancient law practiced in Old Testament times, such as when Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek. It was reestablished in 1838 through Joseph Smith. Tithing is a debt owed to God. No matter the financial situation, every member is expected to pay that debt. Failure to do so is the same as robbing God and is deserving of God's curse. However, honestly paying tithing guarantees that God will pour out so many blessings upon the giver, that they will not have enough room to receive the blessings.”

That being said, my neighbors are not Mormon, but emphatically teach their children to put aside 10 percent of their allowance for the church; this carries on into adulthood and to their offspring.

A while back, asking a question to Mormon woman friend; why does the typical Mormon couple have so many children?

Sadly the response was; not because we want them; in our doctrine, key points focus on family life, we also believe that all of God’s children need to obtain a body to progress; that the commandment God gave to Adam and Eve to multiply and replenish the earth is still in effect and family relationships can continue beyond the grave.

As we know, it’s not only Mormons that have large families.

Until you get the Third World under population control. Their over flow will more than make up for the 1st Worlds decline.

All areas of the planet have Overpopulation issues.. not just third world countries.... for example the area where I live, this area is Flowing with people everywhere ...traffic is a nightmare.... everyone is stepping on each other which increases hostility, violence, and hatred in my opinion.... some people are under the illusion that they must have kids, dogs and live the phony American Dream.... the main issue as well is the infrastructure

Hello Fellows,

This message is an invitation for your very personal initiative regarding the effectively ignored overpopulation misery. The reason is that we are right now in one of those windows of opportunity that provide a fair chance for making an impact. I will afterwards post a similar call in the German language forum.

You might or not know that as far as worldwide inter-governmental discussions, making joint agreements on actions, setting policies and organizing country-assistance are concerned there is one United Nations organization mandated with actually tackling overpopulation. It is called United Nations Population Fund – UNFPA.org, located in New York, right across the street from the UN Secretariat building. The scandal is obviously that it (or should one say its governance body composed of gov delegations) has till now miserably failed in doing its job.

But now to the opportunity: The previous Executive Director has one week ago died. A Nigerian national, coming from a country that has itself no record of success. The replacement process is mostly opaque, but offers still a realistic chance of awareness creating influence and appellation to the conscience of actors, if doing that in a timely manner. Procedurally the rules say that the current UN Secretary General will appoint the successor, after consultation with UNFPA’s governance body, the Executive Board, that oversees all three, UNFPA, UNDP and UNOPS. This means in practice that there will be plenty of lobbyism by individual country delegations and bilateral backroom meetings unfolding in the coming 1-3 months, till one day, without justification, an announcement.

It is meanwhile common practice that initially a vacancy notice will be posted here:

UN.org home page – English – hyperlink “Secretary-General” at the right side under Main Bodies – THE TEAM – Senior Level Vacancies.

As of right now, the notice is not yet up. And don't count on it to certainly appear.

I see at least three channels for each of the message readers ending her/his complacency and acting. Am myself pursuing all those. What about us here discussing additional ideas:

1) Make use of your existing or find new news media contacts from the seldom species that you can trust. Sensitize them about the current specific situation. Mention also the aspect of insufficient transparency of selection process. As a recent a little more positive example and thus potential benchmark one can cite the 2016 process of picking the new UN Secretary General. The candidates were required to show up in a live web streamed session in front of the UN General Assembly. They were required to hold a brief speech on their motivation and goals, followed by 2-3 questions from that audience in the room for each of them. Afterwards the non-democratic subset of the UN General Assembly, the Security Council club, conducted multiple rounds of votes over several weeks, with one candidate ultimately remaining steadily slightly ahead. He became the new Secretary General. Why should not at least such a rudimentary level of transparency be feasible? In the given case, the UNFPA Executive Board should organize such interviewing rounds, with as potential extra improvement, questions filed from the public at large watching the session.

2) Identify your own country’s member in UNFPAs Executive Board. Should your country currently have no seat then look for one representative of your respective world region. Write to this person as a concerned citizen and human being.

3) Write directly to the UN Secretary General. When writing to him, you might want to also pose the question, why the choice of his predecessor to define 17 global goals, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, for the time frame 2015 – 2030, without making population control one of them, still stands uncorrected by him.

Here one aspect that you certainly need to raise, no matter what channel is pursued:

Visit UNFPA’s FAQ. It can be found under home page – about – Frequently asked questions. Read about the official mandate, and further down the shocking revelation “Until 1994, population planning often took the form of reaching specific demographic targets. The 1994 International Conference on Population and Development, however, underscored and reaffirmed the idea that individuals and couples are at the heart of development and enjoy the basic human right to decide freely and responsibly the number and spacing of their children. These decisions, multiplied across communities and countries, and coupled with mortality and migration rates, are what create population trends.” In other words, any prior tangible population containment objectives were abandoned in 1994. Scandalous, and urgently to be reversed by Member States, Executive Council and new Executive Director.

On point 2) from above. Am surprised that the names and contact details of the current 36 members are not shown on the web sites of UNFPA, UNDP and UNOPS. All that is explicitly mentioned on the Members pages are the 5 members fulfilling Bureau duties in 2017. And that Bureau is the custodian of the list with currently officially accredited members. I will for your convenience try getting the full list disclosed to me for sharing.

Sustainability and Peace,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

As I mentioned in your post to me in the Forum Posts Section, I wanted to check on "something". I contacted Christian about the nature of your post above, and he stated to me that this is considered "Active Politics" and therefore cannot be allowed.

I watched a documentary on the television tonight called "H2O-woe", and it was about the severe water shortages in India. It is crippling the country, and no one takes a hint about the overpopulation. The water shortages are causing vast amounts of suicides, because people cannot pay their debts, and the water shortages are driving people to desperation, and crushing their will-power to stay alive. Overpopulation has changed our weather patterns, and India's lack of monsoons, and the normal rainfall has decimated everything, and the fact that India is over-pumping their water-wells and aquafirs dry due to rising population levels. Pumping dry, drilling deeper for water, and things drying up is a ever-increasing problem world-wide with exacerbating (increasing) population levels. Where is the Federally mandated birth-control? Not until it is in the rich countries backyards.

The documentary stated that within 15 years, 47% of the world's population will suffer from severe water shortages, and that India is a glimpse into that future. Who is a rich country today, could be crippled by this future. Overpopulation will leave it's residual mark on our people, and this planet for a long time to come. So will cause and effect, to "re-balance" the populace out to be within a natural normalcy, and an Eastern TV channel was the only station that had the courage to report this story (morsels of truth in documenting cause and effect). While the rest of the world is sidetracked with politics and sports, people are dying because of overpopulation, and no one is noticing, and when they do notice it is quickly forgotten, and in 15 years, increased amounts of people will be under the path of water shortages according to the science of the documentary, which will be = more death if the science is right.

("Popular Science" vol2/6 2017)

These are graphs of projected water scarcity in 2040, Russia and China were not included in the pictures, but they will also have shortages. The darker the brown color, the worse the shortages will be. According to the graph, my country will be hit really hard, will yours?

Who knows, maybe folks will smarten-up about overpopulation, and embrace creational law. For this to happen we would need great social change, people would have to be taught not to chase the "procreation dream" of a spouse, 4 kids, 3 cars, and a dog and a cat. And great leaders who are well-versed on the issues would have to be brought to the forefront. Overpopulation can bring about emergency times of crisis, and we would need to be prepared to respond to matters of planetary criticalness in kind. The future will probably teach us that.

All I know as I drink my tea, and write this post, a parent in India would probably cause me harm, to share the glass of water my tea is made out of with their child, because they are not taught to procreate less in times of crisis. This mindset of less in a crisis needs to become habitual, and we need leaders who are willing to embrace the mindset, so they can teach it to their populace. People can be taught to change, if the requirement is urgent enough. People like me, who see the urgency are an anomaly, but we truly exist, and we do our best to have people connect-the-dots between the climate crisis, and overpopulation.

~One of my favorite sayings from Billy is "the future will show what will happen.". Billy does not want to reveal to much about the future, so it can play out like it should with everyone putting forth the appropriate effort, and when he was asked how far in the future population controls manifest, his answer was "my time travel experience spanned a much greater period". So the future will truly show us if we can bring the population crisis to a logical resolution when the situation gets urgent in the future, so we can rewrite the prophecies. It is up to each one of us to make history, by making the future more creational in nature. If people were taught the wisdom of a halt-in-births, maybe they would question their own drives to make as many children as possible. It can be done, and cause and effect will not be outsmarted, bribed, or referred to diplomatic channels.. we are stupid now, but we won't always be so stupid.~

Corey,

It is pretty alarming that Tibetan plateau water tower, which provides water for couple of billions of people, is melting due to the climate change. And if you consider the fact that India and Pakistan have nuclear weapons then "little nuclear conflict over water" have a high probability.

I recently had a conversation with an Army Staff Sergeant in the tactical Psy-Ops (Psychological Operations) division that was deployed to East Africa to identify terrorist cells etc. Directing the conversation to Overpopulation in Africa; it became quite clear that this Staff Sergeant did not understand what overpopulation truly was.

Explaining this, it was pointed out that not only do African’s (common folks) not have enough quality food but there is a shortage of potable water as well which is mainly due to overpopulation. His rebut was; the majority of these people do not have the education or the desire to develop a good water system for personal use or irrigation for crops etc., which included desalination plants to boost drinking water He went on to say that East Africa was in a severe drought, the worst of over half a century. Only recently has desalination plants been installed with the help of other countries.

Explaining to this army warrior that he pretty much proved my point. The current over population is using up resources faster than nature can replenish; therefor it points to overpopulation. Desalination plants will only provide water for some of the 110,000,000 plus (110 million) which will only exacerbate propagation. They need education on birth control and need to understand the truth about overpopulation!

His response was, that land mass is huge; and your point I asked? He said that there are too many people in one place.

Saying to the soldier; Okay, do you realize that the Earth's population needs to be balanced out to somewhere between 500 and 529 million people? The Earth’s population is currently in excess of 6.5 billion. He insisted that the Earth should be able to support the current population and maybe more?

Bottom line, he just does not understand the overpopulation issue. This appears to also be the consensus of the general public as well; they just don’t get it?

As a side note, he was also very religious which did not really enter into the conversation that much? Other than the fact that the bible does not talk about population control to my knowledge? I did not want to get into a religious debate; he is also a minister.

Kenneth,

That army staff sergeant with whom you spoke with is a prime example of a person who is ill-informed about the dangers of overpopulation. However, on the one hand, there are people who would agree with you and realize that there is indeed a human overpopulation, but on the other hand, once you tell them the "magic number" of about 500 million, 529 million or even at least below 1 billion, that's when they'll probably disagree with you and maybe also call you either a conspiracy nutcase, a NWO shill, or something of the sort. I know, it's sad, but true.

Kenneth, when I attempt to speak with anyone of a religious background about many major issues, It's amazing at the answers when I speak of the overpopulation issues. IMO, Fear is the main resistance, not to mention misinformation, ignorance, complacency, greed, narrow minds, suspicions, etc. To name a few. Ministers, pastors must bear a large amount of responsibility for their "conscious actions" or non-actions. Debating is useless as well. There has to be a "major catastrophe" before "actions" change, however, due to "brain damage", if a major catastrophe does occur, the ministers, pastors will attribute the catastrophe to "god's will". Those who survive the catastrophe will attest they are "god's chosen ones, anointed ones, prophets, superior", etc
It's a non-stop, never-ending, spin cycle.

Kenneth,

Wondering if it would help to put it in perspective of how animals behave when they become over populated?? The reason I ask is because consequences are simular and sometimes it helps to understand a subject by looking at something simular. Sometimes it is easier to see that a box is a box when looking at it from the outside... It also says to "go forth and multiply " in the bible so that could be a stumbling block as well.

Hi Kenneth,

My recent conversation was with our local demographist here in Estonia. He published a article in one of the newspaper on declining population in Estonia, so i desided to express my opinion and ask some questions. After some email exchange i was surprised(again) how narrowminded and shortsighted scientists can be. Basically he said that there is no importance whether on Earth lives 7 or 9 or 12 billion people but important is only technology what we use etc.wich is half truth ofcourse. It makes sad that we as a humanity cannot see the big picture.

Hello Linda,

Maybe one of our Aussie members could fill in the details or correct any errors, but I heard from my Aussie brother that when Koalas were facing possible extinction in some area of South Australia people came to the rescue and shipped a load of them to an island off the southern coast where they would be safe. They were, and all went well for some time.

Problem was the koalas just multiplied feeding on their eucalyptus leaves until they suffered from overpopulation. How did they know they were overpopulated? There came the day when too many Koalas were eating too many eucalyptus leaves until there were no leaves left to eat and the Koalas again faced extinction, this time due to their own overpopulation. People moved in again to help.

One simple lesson they did learn was that you have to control the population or they will eat themselves into extinction.
