As I have just found out, the problem can also be solved by re-configurating the Acrobat Viewer options. These are my translations from the portuguese version: Go to view>page display>display front page with two pages or more (check).

That means that the last chapters of GOT wont be translated? |

Supposedly that will be the last translation (as it is Billy´s most important work which contains all the teaching of his predecessors + him)
In the future the interested persons of each country should do the translations.

This is gona be a little difficult due to not many of us speaks or read German.
What about the new version of Talmud that contains more info on Mary Magdalene and other grammatical corrections?
So everything will be in German now?
Guess I'm gona chose to be reincarnated as a German next time and keep searching until I find the creational teachings again...

Can anyone clear up the first part of the translation below? in particular - 'and happens', isn't clear to me.
89) But observe and consider all that moves in the firmaments (universe) and happens on your worlds, so that you recognise the signs (evidence) of the laws and recommendations of the primal power (Creation) and that they are of use to you, together with the teaching of the prophets, so that you finally become knowing (conscious) and wise, as well as fair ones (responsible ones) and righteous ones (conscientious ones).

"...and happens..." -This to me is both nature and all the activities, instincts, programmings and behavioral patterns found in its created (flora & fauna); as well as the experiences we experience both within ourselves and that which we experience through our senses and whether or not a cognition is gained from them.

Moderators: This post is a question about the OM book and there is no section for it that I noticed. If we can open a section for that it might be useful. Since it does not exist, I thought that the nearest most appropriate section would be this one since both books are important in regards to being teachings of the spirit and Creation.
The question:
In an excerpt I read from OM, there is a listing of the 77 greatest disgraces/evils that people commit. My question is why are "false tongue" and "lying" listed separately? I was of the thought that they implied the same thing yet they must not be exactly the same or they would not be listed separately. Lying is not a falsehood. I do not know what to think if "false tongue" does not mean the same thing.
Any ideas???

re 'false tongue'
In the FIGU dictionary, false tongue is listed as being 'insult'.
If this is the intended meaning then you can see how it differs from 'lying'.

The defilements which are being referred to are listed in the "OM" in Canon 29. To the best of my knowledge they are not listed in the Goblet of Truth. Here are a few which are mentioned in an unofficial translation:
45. Whoredom
46. Haughty eyes
47. False tongue
48. Blood hands
49. Evil pranks
50. Quick feet
51. Doing damage
52. Sowing quarrel
53. Lack of discipline
54 Taking vengeance
55. Hating
56. Thievery
57. Slimy speech
58. Bond breaking
59. Uncleanness
60. Disorderliness
61. Lying
62. Sectarianism
63. Jealousy
64. Sadism
65. Licentiousness
66. Warring
As I said this is an unofficial translation, so the translations may not be entirely correct according to FIGU. |

I think alot of these can be dealt with effectively by finding their root with neutral- positive thinking . Taking each word and finding how I might have fallen into it's error.

I have a bit of confusion over what defines neutral-positive thinking. I know some of the group gets into the whole being solely logical thing. I did make a chart on how I might define what nuetral thinking might be. I know purely logical thinking I attribute to blue. I might infer then that
emotional thinking would be red.
Do you mean like being purple (A balance between emotion and wisdom), or do you mean something else?

There are so many ways to enter into the description of it , Sarah ; mainly from the balance of how you look at things and how they really are .
Better to see things as they really are , without the always favorable rose-colored glasses way of seeing our everyday conditions . The reconditioning of your outlook is evolutionarily forward. So things that happen to you don't throw you in turmoil , you can detect your error immediately , and learn from it , noticing how you might have caused it , etc .

Yes you were on the right track. It essentially means "following the middle path", in every respect. Not too many excesses one way or another, and finding a balance within yourself between all positive and negative aspects, with a tiny slight tilt towards the positive in order to keep evolution going and not stagnate. Once you achieve this balance, you will be in harmony with your surroundings and all of life. That, hence, is the key to perceiving reality. This may not happen within our lifetime, although we may have glimpses and moments of clarity from time to time.

It's taken a long time for me to even fathom it , but I do have some cognitions here and there . It's like when you think " when will my ships come in ?" ... So you are disappointed that more success isn't imminent , then you realize that you are doing well enough already , maybe what you wanted wasn't really needed . In the grand scheme of things , great success should really only be measured in terms of maturity and spiritual growth and evolution of the psyche . |

Discipline. If you KNOW your Inner Self...you will KNOW your Outer Self!
From here, you live a more Conscious life; and the actions you take. Instead
of acting 'impulsively', so to speak. Thus, your THINKING mechanism should do
much better, as result. And from here, you acquire Self Discipline.
Now you THINK before you take action....instead of take action and than Think,
of what mess you made, so to speak....; you can always Prevent making the/a
mess: that is WHY, YOU are a THINKING being. You can Prevent the Worse from
happening....

Oh boy, yea I used to be friend with a guy that, I hate to say it, acted a bit like how I shouldnt. I'm kind of weening from the relationship not abrssively though. I never liked conflict. Here is something I'm wondering, I mean how young is to young to start this stuff? I sort of weened away from Earth religions since I was around 16.

The Goblet of Truth is a very profound book... that Billy did not charge for... if that does not tell you the character of the man... what will?
I guess being a success (suckling the Gewalt teat) would make available the power of consciousness to solve any problem with time... that came up. To evolve and improve yourself and those around you... equally... rather than being better than someone else or making more money... etc etc etc... I'm like Mark in this respect... I get little snippets from time to time... Ahhh Hahh moments... here and there but only after: knowledge, with experience, becomes wisdom comes this cognition... this realization and ability to solve, understand and/or accept(with a healthy skepticism)any problem... that may arise.
I like what was said by Jmmanuel... all those years ago... and still rings true... as does all truth...
There is no higher happiness than wisdom... no better friend than knowledge and no other savior than the power of your consciousness...
