Hi Andrew

I refer to your posting on Janrary 9 2000 regarding "The 7 primary factors in the human life".

All the factors are very nicely put, however, there is one thing that I do not understand, that is - "Humbleness" is one of the 7 shortcomings of Mankind.

Would you please explain more details to us? As we usually aware that Humble is a virtue that builds less walls between people, leads to less self-defence, envy and counter measures.

Regards

Dear Savio and interested readers...
The adjective humble according to the Oxford Dictionary means having or showing low self -esteem. That is what is meant by being humble as a negative trait. Furthermore it would be wise for all of us to contemplate the following words of Jmmanuel ...Talmud of Jmmanuel, chapter 24, lines 9 to 14

9. "But don't let anyone call you master until you have recognized the wisdom of knowledge.

10. "And don't let anyone call you teacher until you follow the laws of Creation,

11. "because those who allow themslves to be called master and teacher and do not possess the wisdom of knowledge will be denounced as liars,

12. "For those who unjustly exhalt themselves will be abased, and those who unjustly abase themselves will be distained.

13. "Let those who are great in consciousness consider themselves great, and those who are small in consciousness consider themselves small and those who are in between in consciousness consider themselves in between.

14. "It is unwise and stupid for people to let others consider them greater or smaller than they truly are."

Additionally, in "An Interview with Billy Meier - Spiritual Teachings" answer 13 talks about how one must take on personal responsibility for one's life and not humble oneself before some god, guru, Jesus, saint etc...

excerpt from answer 13:

"The most important factor is that humans are personally responsible for each and every thing they do, and humans must always bear the responsibility and experience th consequences for their own actions, regardless of what they think, perpetrate or effect. However, this also signifies that humans are absolutely independent and totally their own masters in every way. No higher power is there to protect them, not a spirit guide, not Jesus Christ, not God, saints, guardian angels nor any other archetypes and the like. Each and every one of these personages is the product of religions and sects, invented and generated to divert humans from the path of the genuine truth, and to make them believe that as humans they are not self-reliant but ever dependent upon higher powers. This condition transpired even in the earliest of times to keep humans enslaved, to prevent them from rebelling, and to subordinate them meekly and humbly into this oppression."

Hello,

I have been in such a situation where i was enslaved and held down. I am a refugee from the former Yugoslavia.
When i was in need the most, being humiliated, tortured and seeing people killed, Spirit came to me and showed me Truth.
Spirit released me from opression and pain. Yes, we are solely responsible for what we do but we are never alone, for we are human beings.

Love

Carry Us All

I heard a whisper on my radio
But I paid no mind
I just sat back and I let it go
To catch the rain from a lonely waterfall
But I might beware
'Cos they could drown me like a doll

They got me running in and out of time
I feel like a Bona Fide
Keeper of the right and wrong
And I've known all along, but let me just make it clear

Everybody's gone for quick, sure fire solution
But faith in any god is gonna bury us all
No-one's gonna fight in a ten-bob revolution
Have faith in what you've got and it will carry us all
Carry us all

I slip my skin as the prophets reappear
But I pay no mind
I'm just trying to persevere
With the sins I have to shake from me within
Though I might beware
'Cos they're just trying to wear me thin

They got me running in and out of time
I feel like a Bona Fide
Keeper of the right and wrong
And I've known all along, but let me just make it clear

Everybody's gone for quick, sure fire solution
But faith in any god is gonna bury us all
No-one's gonna fight in a ten-bob revolution
Have faith in what you've got and it will carry us all
Carry us all

Everybody's gone for quick, sure fire solution
But faith in any god is gonna bury us all
No-one's gonna fight in a ten-bob revolution
Have faith in what you've got and it will carry us all
Carry us all
Carry us all

It's only rock and roll but I like it...

Hi Michael

Thanks for your response :) I am having a better understanding on the importance of not being under estimated and not being humble under any gods.

However, our interpersonal skills of being humble is another story. Say, a world champion of 100M takes a humble attitude in front of all people because he knows someday someone will break his record. His attitude will not lead to an under estimation by himself or others but only more loved by others (being aware of this fact, it will even trigger his further progress).

Hence, it seems simply putting the word Humble in the shortcoming list may lead to misunderstanding.

Any comments?

Hi Savio,

Religious people have a different understanding of what it means to be humble. To them it is a "Godly" quality with a similar meaning to humility.

Adding to the confusion is a verse in the book of Matthew in the Bible where it says at Mt 5:3 "Blessed are those who are humble in spirit, for the Kingdom of the heavens belongs to them".

So being humble is looked upon as being of low esteem to the world (Satan's wicked world), but being of great value in the eyes of God, just like there so called exampler Jesus. And, showing godly humility is valued in recognizing ones true spiritual condition and working to make progress, while being lowly in mind and considering others to be superior. See how manipulative religion can be with some sound reasoning mixed in with the erroneous?

In stark conttrast, the true understanding of this same verse quoted above in the Talmud says at TJ 5:3 "Blessed are those who are rich in spirit and recognize the truth, for life is theirs."

So, being humble in whatever definition you may find, must be properly understood as being a negative trait.

Kind regards,
Lonnie

Hi Lonnie

Thanks for your explanation, the picture is getting more clear now :)

By the way, I think there is difference in the understanding and the use of the word "Humble" between the East and the West.

In the Eastern world, humble is only interpersonal attitude (being great but not proud) and nothing concerns with God or spiritual matters. They do not have the history burden of the Western Church. That is way I raised the question.

After all, it is nice to understand the true meaning behind the word Humbleness in the human shortcoming list.

I would like to make a comment yet it might not belong here it is from Michael Uyttebroek's post on Friday, September 22, 2000 - 01:59 pm
"The most important factor is that humans are personally responsible for each and every thing they do, and humans must always bear the responsibility and experience the consequences for their own actions, regardless of what they think, perpetrate or effect"...
We are as much responsible for our own actions as we are our own thoughts for they too effect the things around and within us and are not regardless.

Hello

I would like to share some quotations out of the Prophesy book which kind of reflects the flavor of what is going on in the world. This was received by Billy on Thursday, 29 January 1976, 1:05 a.m. This was received from the PETALE level of consciousness.

1. It is the child of evil, the child of destruction,.

2. who is the lethal adversary against knowledge, wisdom, truth., love, peace, reverence, and harmony.

3. It is the Antichrist (Anti-Logos) in manifold form.

4. It is the power of evil, the 666.

5. Who is against the truth of Creation.

6. Against the truth of the Spirit.

7. Against the observance of the laws and the commandments.

8. The it is He- embodying the Almighty,

9. In lawlessness, tyranny, and bloodthirstiness, in Antichrist (Anti-Logo)

10. Might of evil with deceptive powers, miracles, and omens, and all manner of seductions, delusions, lies, and deceptions.

11. Leading to injustice and heresy in those who get lost in the false knowledge of the Antichrist (Anti-Logo)

12. For they do not accept the love of TRUTH as salvation.

13. It is the child of destruction, the Antichrist (Anti-logo), the malicious, confusing, sneaking, lurking and deadly.

14. It is the child of annihilation, slaughtering the truth, 666, Antichrist (Anti-logo).

This is not an exact translation, but I think it fits into the times we are experiencing presently. As indicated these are prophesies and and not predictions.

Hi Scott,

Does the PETALE level confirm the existence of the
Anti-Christ and what is the significance of the 666 logo? I had thought these were Christian prophecies not worthy of serious consideration.

Hi Louis,

Since this area is for Non-FIGU-Related, miscellaneous poetry, music or art postings, your question would be best directed to the General Area where some topics already cover the meaning of '666'.

As always, a keyword search can help you find this topic. Thanks!

Grace

Grace, she takes the blame
She covers the shame
Removes the stain
It could be her name

Grace, it's the name of a girl
It's also the thought that changed the world
And when she walks on the street
You could hear the strings
Grace finds beauty in everything

Grace, she's got the walk
Not on a ramp or on chalk
She's got the time to talk
She travels outside of karma
She travels outside of karma
When she goes to work
You can hear her strings
Grace finds beauty in everything

Grace, she carries a world on her hips
No champagne flute for her lips
No twirls or skips between her fingertips
She carries a pearl in perfect condition

What once was hurt
What once was fiction
What left a mark
No longer strings
Because Grace makes beauty
Out of ugly things

Grace makes beauty out of ugly things
