Moderator - This message was moved here from another topic area. Hi all, This is hot off the press. Drinking 1 cup of regular(black) tea will put in your body as much fluoride as drinking 2 gallons = 8 liters of flouridated water. yummy!!! concerned George |

Hello, To be bright and alert I drink green tea. I hope it's better than black tea. --- I've been talking to people who claim that qigong makes the mind and body healthier. Is qigong really working, if so: I wonder why, or is it som kind of religion too? I've been told that yoga has turned into a religion. Regards, Inger |

Hi Inger Green tea is said to be effective in preventing cancer, black tea is good for food digestion. I have green in the afternoon and black in the evening.I like them both. Yes, qigong really works! I have a colleague who practices qigong for many years and he is 55 and looks like 40 something. He is very healthy with sunshine happy face,he does not lose hair and there is no trace of silver hair within his black hair. He is a wonder among us, time does not do much upon him Qigong by it self is not a religion, it is just an physical/spiritual exercise like yoga but SHOULD BE GUILDED by professionals. However, some professionals are usually get connected with or believer of some sort of religions hence it becomes religion related. In fact, there are many qigong professionals do not have a religion. Regards Savio |

Hi Inger and Savio, I love qigong and have been doing, and teaching, it for many years. I started with T'ai Chi (which is a form of qigong) and then added the qigong standing practice. I incorporate it into the exercises, which I call Regenerative Movement, that I teach to over 100 senior citizens each week. I have three "students" who are over 100 years old. This is one of the happiest careers I've ever had. |

Hello, In the Northeastern US where I live, we are experiencing a spectucular autumn. The skies are clear, the air is cool and dry, and the foliage is a kaleidoscope of bright colors. With thoughts of conserving energy while the cost of heating oil and gas is skyrocketing, I am wondering if anyone has recommendations on proper indoor temperatures to be maintained that provide for conservation, economy and proper health. Presently we try to keep daytime temperatures around 68 degrees F (20 degrees C) and drop down a bit during the overnight to 66 degrees F (19 degrees C) in sleeping quarters and 64 degrees F (18 degrees C) in non-sleeping quarters. I am somewhat concerned about my little ones. By thrashing around in their sleep, they almost always kick off their bed covers. They are both in preschool and last year brought home cold and flu symptoms at least six times that eventually infected the entire family. This year we'd like to cut down on these incidents. Does exposure to low room temperatures while sleeping contribute to colds and the flu? Are the temperatures we are presently using too low to maintain proper health? Appreciatively yours, Larra |

Hi Larra I always wished to be able to have such a fine weather and scenery, yet it happens only in dreams. I think your current temperature setting should be quite comfortable. As to my experience, the kids are doomed to bring back colds and flu from preschool. The frequency will be greatly reduced in a few years time - when they get stronger. I think it is part of their physical evolution in fighting the cold and flu and getting more tough while they recover again and again. In fact, we cannot control the kids not to put things like toys, fingers ...etc into their mouths, cold and flu are passed on from one kid to antoher easily. My preventive measure was to wash their faces and hands as soon as they return home, yet they did bring back colds and flu. The first 1-3 years is a hard time for parents. Good luck Savio |
