DISCERNMENT The practice of discernment is part of higher consciousness. Discernment is not just a step up from judgement. In life's curriculum, it is the opposite of judegement. Through judgement a man reveals what he needs to confront and learn. Through discernment, one reveals what he has mastered. ~ Glenda Green ~ |

Don`t accept the reality (universe, Earth, life, society, etc ...) as seen through other people`s eyes, but find its meaning by yourself. ____________________________ Eric (inspired from meditation on Billy`s text) |

Hi Isabella, These are just sayings, phrases about life which often times tend to be true. For instance the OM, Canon 32 has many wisdom sayings about situations in life that people may encounter. For instance: 1772. Whoever does not practice truth loses it. 1774: Every choice has its torment. If you look at the archives of this topic you will find many instances of what I'm talking about. Hope this helps. Regards Scott |

Flowing mind, calm water. Negativity can be conquered even without a fight. Do not let it get a grasp on you, and do not embrace it. Let it flow past you. Jani

See, how the trees, bushes, all kind of plants, animals and creatures also, gather around the pond in the refreshing oasis. This same yearning is in the Human Being, too; to gather around that which is Creative. Jani

Translation "...When I possess True Knowledge I will stroll on the right and simple road I will avoid side paths Because the straight road is easy to walk But most people love the narrow side paths The residences of the rich are neat and clean But the fields of the poor are filled with weeds And their granaries are empty The elite wear generously-decorated and expensive clothes Sharp swords hang on their waists They stuff and they swill They lose themselves in possession and wealth They flaunt their stolen gear Now, isn’t that conscienceless?" "Wahrhafte Worte sind nicht angenehm. Schöne Worte sind nicht wahrhaft Weise reden nicht über das Unaussprechliche Wer über das Unaussprechliche redet, ist nicht weise Weise sind nicht gelehrt Und Gelehrte sind nicht weise Wer weise ist, häuft keinen Besitz an Er gibt, was er hat Und ist deshalb wert, dass er lebt Die anderen lässt er teilhaben an seiner Weisheit Seine Weisheit ist unerschöpflich Leben nach der Natur schadet niemals Das Leben der Weisen ist uneigennützig und friedsam" "True words are not pretty Pretty words are not true Wise men do not talk about the Unspeakable One who talks about the Unspeakable is not wise. Wise men are not learned. And learned ones aren’t wise. A wise man doesn’t gather possessions. He gives what he has And therefore he is worthy of living He shares his wisdom with others. His wisdom is never-ending Living according to nature never harms The life of a wise man is unselfish and peaceful" Diejenigen, die das Mysterium erfahren, reden darüber nicht. Diejenigen, die darüber reden, haben das Mysterium nicht erfahren Versuche nicht, über das Unaussprechliche zu reden, "Those who have experienced the Mystery don’t speak about it. Those who do speak about it have not experienced the Mystery." Lao Tse

Who knows for certain, who shall here declare it, whence was it born, whence came creation, the gods are later than this world's formation. Who then can know the origins of the world. None knows whence creation arose, or whether he has or has not made it, he who surveys it from the lofty skies, only he knows, or perhaps he knows not." Rig Veda My Website

"The most asked question I get from people is 'How did you get started doing this?'. Well, to borrow a phrase from Nike.... I just did it. And the quickest path to discovering (or fine-tuning) your psychic abilities is to do the same.....just do it." Charles Cox |

John is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood And always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how He was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!" He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, John was there telling the employee How to look on the positive side of the situation. Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up and asked Him, "I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?" He replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two Choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or ... You can choose To be in a bad mood. I choose to be in a good mood." Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or...I can Choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it. Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their Complaining or... I can point out the positive side of life. I choose The positive side of life. "Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested. "Yes, it is," he said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all The junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to Situations. You choose how people affect you R mood! You choose to be in A good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live Your life." I reflected on what he said. Soon hereafter, I left the Tower Industry To start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him When I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it. Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious accident, Falling some 60 feet from a communications tower. After 18 hours of Surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was released from the hospital With rods placed in his back. I saw him about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he Was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins. Wanna see my Scars?" I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone Through his mind as the accident took place. "The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of my Soon-to-be born daughter," he replied. "Then, as I lay on the ground, I Remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or...I could Choose to die. I chose to live." "Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked. He continued, "the paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was Going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the Expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read 'he's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take Action." "What did you do?" I asked. "Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me," said John. "She asked if I was allergic to anything. Yes, I replied." The doctors And nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep Breath and yelled, 'Gravity'." Over their laughter, I told them, "I am Choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead." He lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his Amazing attitude... I learned from him that every day we have the choice To live fully. Attitude, after all, is everything. Therefore do not Worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has Enough trouble of its own. After all.... today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday. |

Five (5) lessons to make you think about the way we treat people. 1 - First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady. During my second month of college, our professor Gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student And had breezed through the questions until I read The last one: "What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the Cleaning woman several times. She was tall, Dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question Blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if The last question would count toward our quiz grade. "Absolutely," said the professor. "In your careers, You will meet many people. All are significant. They Deserve your attention and care, even if all you do Is smile and say "hello." I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her Name was Dorothy. 2. - Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain One night, at 11:30 P.M., an older African American Woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway Trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had Broken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her, generally Unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s. The man Took her to safety, helped her get assistance and Put her into a taxicab. She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his Address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a Knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a Giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A Special note was attached.. It read: "Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway The other night. The rain drenched not only my Clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying Husbands' bedside just before he passed away... God Bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving Others." Sincerely, Mrs. Nat King Cole. 3 - Third Important Lesson - Always remember those Who serve. In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, A 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and Sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in Front of him. "How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked. "Fifty cents," replied the waitress. The little boy pulled is hand out of his pocket and Studied the coins in it. "Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired. By now more people were waiting for a table and the Waitress was growing impatient. "Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied. The little boy again counted his coins. "I'll have the plain ice cream," he said. The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on The table and walked away. The boy finished the ice Cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress Came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the Table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, Were two nickels and five pennies.. You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had To have enough left to leave her a tip. 4 - Fourth Important Lesson. - The obstacle in Our Path. In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a Roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if Anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the King's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by And simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did Anything about getting the stone out of the way. Then a peasant came along carrying a load of Vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the Peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the Stone to the side of the road. After much pushing And straining, he finally succeeded. After the Peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed A purse lying in the road where the boulder had Been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note From the King indicating that the gold was for the Person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The Peasant learned what many of us never understand! Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve Our condition. 5 - Fifth Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts... Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare & serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the Illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes I'll do it if it will save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then h is face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away". Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her. |

Philosophy GREAT TRUTHS THAT LITTLE CHILDREN HAVE LEARNED: 1) No matter how hard you try, you can't baptize cats. 2) When your Mom is mad at your Dad, don't let her brush your hair. 3) If your sister hits you, don't hit her back. They always catch the second person. 4) Never ask your 3-year old brother to hold a tomato. 5) You can't trust dogs to watch your food. 6) Don't sneeze when someone is cutting your hair. 7) Never hold a Dust-Buster and a cat at the same time. 8) You can't hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk. 9) Don't wear polka-dot underwear under white shorts. 10) The best place to be when you're sad is Grandpa's lap. GREAT TRUTHS THAT ADULTS HAVE LEARNED: 1) Raising teenagers is like nailing Jell-O to a tree. 2) Wrinkles don't hurt. 3) Families are like fudge...mostly sweet, with a few nuts. 4) Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground. 5) Laughing is good exercise. It's like jogging on the inside. 6) Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy. GREAT TRUTHS ABOUT GROWING OLD 1) Growing up is mandatory; growing old is optional. 2) Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get. 3) When you fall down, you wonder what else you can do while you're down there. 4) You're getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that you once got from a roller coaster. 5) It's frustrating when you know all the answers but nobody bothers to ask you the questions. 6) Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician. 7) Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone. THE FOUR STAGES OF LIFE: 1) You believe in Santa Claus. 2) You don't believe in Santa Claus. 3) You are Santa Claus. 4) You look like Santa Claus. SUCCESS: At age 4 success is . . Not peeing in your pants. At age 12 success is . Having friends. At age 16 success is . . . Having a drivers license. At age 35 success is . Having money. At age 50 success is . . . Having money. At age 70 success is . . . Having a drivers license. At age 75 success is . Having friends. At age 80 success is . Not peeing in your pants. Always remember to forget the troubles that pass your way; BUT NEVER forget the blessings that come Each day. |

After serious struggles we have proven to ourselves that our Earth revolves around the Sun and not the other way 'round. Now we still have to prove that the rest of the world doesn't revolve around ourselves. |

Until you make peace with who you are, you'll never be content with what you have, ..Faith moves mountains, but you have to keep pushing while you are praying,.. ..Do not attempt to do a thing unless you are sure of yourself;.. .Life is what happens to you while you're making other plans -,,,.. ..From the beginning of time all man has ever wanted is to love and be loved. And from the beginning of time man has done everything in his power to make it impossible to do that but do not relinquish it simply because someone else is not sure of you. You will become as small as your controlling desire, or as great as your dominant aspiration. I just see my life as a series of really interesting mistakes... .All life changes, but only fools think it has reached its ideal at the exact point where they entered. blerim |
