Reading and Contributing to Discussions

Anyone with WWW access can read discussions on this board. To read discussions, navigate to the discussion of interest by single clicking on the links from the list of topics and subtopics. You can navigate backwards using the navigation bars at the top of each page.

To post a message to an existing discussion, fill in the "Add a Message" box at the bottom of the page. You may use formatting codes or basic HTML tags to provide formatting for your post. At the discretion of the moderators, posting messages to a discussion may require a user account (username and password), or the discussion may allow public posting. Follow the instructions on the form to supply the necessary credentials for posting.

Where available, you may click on a "Create New Conversation" button to start a new discussion. This will add a subtopic with the subject you specify, starting a conversation with the initial message that you specify. After filling in the subject line, follow the instructions in the previous paragraph for how to post a message.

Searching the Board

This discussion board can be searched by time of post (New Messages search) or by matching text (Keyword Search). Each of these searching mechanisms provide convenient methods to locate discussions of interest.

To search for new messages, click the New Messages link from the Main Menu. If you have an account with a valid username and password, fill in your username and password in the appropriate boxes to search for messages since your last check. If you do not have an account, you can still search for new messages using one of the remaining options. The Last Day and Last Week options on the Main Menu are equivalent to searching for messages posted within the last day and messages posted within the last seven days, respectively.

To search the board by key words, click the Keyword Search link from the Main Menu. You can then specify the words that will be used in the search. Additional instructions for using the Keyword Search option are displayed on the search screen itself. When you have performed the search, click on any of the links to the pages to view the page, or click on a link in the result to go to the post where that text occurs.

Getting an Account

Having a user account on this system gives the following benefits:

• Ability to specify your full name and e-mail address to be included on your post
• Ability to enable e-mail notification of all posts to topics you select
• Ability to change your own password
• In some versions, the ability to specify miscellaneous preferences for operation of the board, and to give more information about yourself that others can view

To get a user account, first click the Edit Profile link from the main menu of this board and see if "Instant Registration" is available. If not, e-mail one of the moderators listed on the Contact page and request a user account. Be sure to include your e-mail address, full name, and desired username if you e-mail a moderator.

If you have additional questions or concerns, post them to an appropriate area on the discussion forum, or contact one of the moderators or the board administrator from the Contact page.

Rules and "Netiquette"

Benvenuti nel forum italiano della FIGU! Gradiremmo dedicaste pochi istanti nel leggere queste linee guida nonché la politica qui di seguito in quanto, in qualità di membri del forum, è indispensabile che ognuno si attenga a tutto ciò.

1. I membri devono postare in una forma non offensiva nei confronti degli altri membri. Siate cortesi e comprensibili. Non teniate quindi né un tono irruente tanto meno irrilevante. Si evitino commenti ingiuriosi e offensivi sia nel contenuto che nel tono. Contributi di questo tipo non saranno tollerati. Una certa dose di umorismo è sempre benvenuta in quanto aiuta a tener lontani gli estremisti e i fanatici.
2. Si consiglia l'utilizzo della funzione di ricerca prima di postare qualsiasi domanda, perché molti temi e questioni sono già state discusse negli anni precedenti.
3. Il forum è stato creato al fine di discutere pubblicazioni e temi connessi alla FIGU. Le idee e i commenti degli utilizzatori del forum possono contenere errori e non riportare in maniera esatta le informazioni contenute nel materiale della FIGU. Come conseguenza di ciò, la FIGU non può dar nessuna garanzia sull'accuratezza delle informazioni pubblicate dagli utilizzatori del forum a meno di un esplicito chiarimento.
4. Ricordate il fatto che questo forum è stato pensato per un grande gruppo di persone interessate a studiare il materiale della FIGU. Gli utilizzatori evitino di imporre agli altri le proprie idee o le proprie teorie.
5. Non è permesso qualsiasi abuso del forum come, per esempio, la pubblicazione non autorizzata di materiale tutelato da diritto d'autore, pubblicità, opere di lobbyzzazione, nonché la creazione di gruppi di attivisti senza previa autorizzazione della FIGU. Sono altresì proibite spiegazioni o consigli per risolvere problemi medici; sono anche proibite esternazioni esagerate infondate su differenze di visioni. E' tuttavia sempre gradita una sana critica o una sana divergenza di opinione.
6. Contributi contenenti testo o immagini di altri membri non possono venire pubblicati da un'altra parte senza il loro diretto consenso.
7. Nel forum si possono pubblicare solo poche frasi tradotte e devono inoltre far parte di una discussione. Venga dato il nome del traduttore e, nel caso in cui la fonte del testo tradotto sia un libro o una brochure, si citi la fonte.
8. Ogni contributo dovrebbe sempre venire postato nella sezione corrispettiva ed avere a che fare con il materiale della FIGU.
9. Tutti i contributi abbiano uno stile normale collocato in un formato comprensibile, leggibile e con un senso compiuto. Si evitino utilizzi eccessivi di "Emoticons", di testi in stampatello o maiuscolo, di punteggiature o di testo colorato.
10. Non verranno pubblicate segnalazioni (link) di altre pubblicazioni o di altri articoli in merito ai quali non c'è discussione e che non hanno niente a che vedere con le informazioni della FIGU. I collegamenti (link) a siti web non FIGU o ad essa non collegati non possono avere il link attivo.
11. Il team dei moderatori si riserva in qualsiasi momento il diritto ad abbreviare o a cancellare qualsiasi post. Determinare ciò che va accorciato o cancellato, nonché ciò che viene considerato indecente, volgare, offensivo, è ad esclusiva discrezione dei moderatori e non a discrezione degli utilizzatori del forum.
12. Informazioni personali non verranno né inoltrate a terzi e nemmeno utilizzate. Informazioni quali, per esempio, indirizzi e-mail, potranno tuttavia essere utilizzate dai moderati a scopo di corrispondenza.
13. Ogni utilizzatore deve utilizzare un indirizzo e-mail attivo. Se questo indirizzo, a partire da un certo momento, non sarà più valido, il rispettivo l'account dell'utente verrà cancellato.
14. Nel caso in cui non venga utilizzato il nome personale come nome dell'utilizzatore, si scelga un nome dignitoso.

Se qualcosa nel forum dovesse turbarla, lo comunichi ad uno dei moderatori al seguente indirizzo.

Per concludere ancora una nota: tutti i post che non dovessero rispondere alle linee guida sopramenzionate, verranno cancellati dai moderatori. Chi contravverrà ripetutamente alle linee guida, verrà cancellato dal forum.
