Hi Jim,
The walking dead .... sure we might have an idea of what this refers to but stated literally it only brings disrepute & confusion to the entire work.
Raise those who are the walking dead because they know not the laws and ideals of creation.
However left to interpretation .... all manner of mischief and selective meaning is then possible.
Whilst the principle of parables might be a good idea these only work towards the higher end of the thinking spectrum and so the penny drops rather sparingly at our present state of conscious evolution but the negative result is the present situation whereby those who seek to control & steer perceptions use the literal - interpretive paradigm unscrupulously whereby agendas dictate whether text is to be taken literally or interpreted.
He said this but really meant that ...... he said this and meant this and we are the authority who decide on such things. It's not called spin for no reason ....

Billy has explained that "evil spirits" means mental disease.
Jim i think that "dead" in "...let the dead bury their dead" refers to poverty of consciousness (being like a zombie, a living dead). Something like: let the zombies bury their dead (do their religious rituals etc.) and follow me if you want to grow in knowledge.
To me "raise the dead" means "enlighten them" (to teach them so that they grow in consciousness)

This is clearly literally. Referring of course to what we refer to as 'near-death' or even 'apparent-death' and not actually dying.
Every form of healing and the defying of the laws of physics is the power of Consciousness affecting the molecular make up of the course-material. We know that when healing, we are not actually touching or affecting the spirit-form, only the course-material make up of the body. So it is logical that Creation would provide us with such an ability.

Ramirez,
I chose that example, "the living dead," because that same verse is in the Gospel of Matthew. So Christians have had to wrestle with it for centuries. Hence they're not going to be criticising the TJ on that!

Good for Billy to define it that as it is.
Many old tribes around the world have that same interpretation. And so, they
try to - cast out - the mentioned, through whatever ritual.
But, we must not forget the possibility of more than one Spirit-form
Possessing an individual: which CAN occur. Than, we CAN (still...) speak of -
Evil Spirits -...: Plural...[FIGU Material]

Hi Joe....
It was discussed in the past...once even with relation to the two 'possessed'
men which is mentioned in the TJ. They were Schizophrenic...in some way, and
the mentioning of - Evil Spirits -...was though that they only had a Mental
Disease, and the other possibility was they both may have been possessed by
one or more Spirit-forms.
Sudden death can create a scenario that a/that Spirit-form can enter into a
Host/Body which is already occupied by a(nother) designated Spirit-form, as I
understand it.
