Excuse any typos or misspellings because I'm in the process of moving and I'm typing on my cell phone and or tablet ....after reading verse 374 it appears some of them on this forum are suffering with this element. . Instead of allowing our intuition to lead us ,we are attempting to force others to give us the truth without allowing our intuitions to assist our earning the truth.... would like to the others feedback on this verse. Hi MsMichelle, You may remember F. Kafka who had to suffer a lot (he died of TB at the age of 40). And yet he beautifully described how anyone can find the truth embodied in our universe: "You do not need to do anything, just remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, just wait. Do not even wait, just be quiet, still and solitary, and the universe will expose itself to you. It has no choice. It will roll in ecstasy at your feet." There is a silent witness with us. A part of our being, that was with us before we were born, is with us now and will be with us in the future. It is not affected by our experiences. It is our connection to universal life. Life in timeless, universal harmony. Salome, Bill |

MsMichelle, you are right on the dot. Majority of the people on this earth is being led by something other than themselves whether they know it or not. This is because there is negative energy everywhere, which is very strong. Even without us knowing, we get pulled into it. Only true spiritual teaching including meditation can help oneself from this menace and help us think and see things clearly. |

On page 208, verse 280 states: "Even things which are far away must be taken into consideration by the human being, if he/she does not want to fall victim to grief in the immediate proximity." I'm unsure of what this means. Could someone elaborate on this? |

Perhaps I'm not reading it correctly, but I simply don't understand how falling victim to grief in the immediate proximity can be prevented by taking into consideration of things at a distance. |

Andrew, Perhaps it means even though things are far away, they can still affect us? Also, I contacted Vibka who was one of the translators of the book and asked her what her interpretation of the line may be and does her translation convey the original meaning or close to it. If I hear something I will post it. Regards Scott |

Maybe by enlarging our sense of "I" - by feeling a oneness with a larger entity than our body, family, nation etc. - we may "lighten" the grief for the smaller entity: "Peace in our world comes from an observing awareness" ... http://forum.figu.org/us/messages/863/13809.html#POST75819 Salome, Bill |

Hi Andrew, There is nothing wrong with the translation. Bill’s and Scott’s interpretations make both sense to me. Another equally valid option is an advice of tackling valid sorrows/self-pity by putting things in perspective. No matter what grief burdens you under your local circumstances, it will almost certainly pale when compared with current problems existing elsewhere. Salome Stefan |

Hello Andrew_hua This is a recommendation and it stems from the law of cause & effect. It refers, for example, to seeing the clouds forming and getting dark. This let's us know a storm is brewing and we should prepare or get into shelter. Or the electricity bill is due and we procrastinate in paying and then we get the electricity turned off. In other words, a careful consideration of this recommendation will reveal a creational way and wise that allows us to control our destiny or events/circumstances in life. Salome, Eddie In the *Goblet of the Truth* there it says: Live always in love and in peace, foster freedom and harmony on Earth and never forget the real truth. Foster your life always in goodness of heart and live in the true BEING of the Creation. The *Goblet of the Truth* will wake you, not to the bane - but to the boon. (pg.3)

Andrew, If I were to hazard a guess, the answer may be found in this: Love is ... Love is an absolute certainty of living and participating in everything, in all that exists: in fauna and flora, in fellow human beings, in every material and spiritual form of life of whatever kind, and in the existence of the entire universe and beyond. I agree with all the responses, I also sense the meaning as well to say, We are all connected, whether near or far, We have an impact whether large or small. Rather than to Look away from horror with disgust, instead to Look horror into the eyes and understand the value. MsMichelle

Andrew_hua; Most of our experiences are lived in the vicinity of were we live and were we work through growth by means of positive development or though negative and criminal activities. Therefore our learning is merely local. For example what happens in our house, schools, workplace, city or community gets published or talked about to us through local news papers, bulletins, words from teachers and friends, co-workers and so on. Therefore most of our learning and development is based on our local surroundings. Now, take a community, city or town from the other side of the country. They will have different problems and different solutions. Therefore if we take an interest to learn from these different experiences so we can then become aware that this could eventually become a reality in their surroundings, then they will have to go through the process of having to work out a solution before it has become a problem and that any damage would minimal at least because there was a responsibility to see that what happens to someone else could happen to them. it's called learning from other peoples mistakes (or achievements) whether it is near or far. I contacted Vibka who is one of the translators of the book and she went on to say : "The way I understand it is that you have to consider things outside of your immediate environment if you do not want to succumb to grief within your immediate environment. So if people lose a loved-one or have other grief or deep concerns about things, they shouldn't get lost in their own little world but consider looking further afield for help." She also said thats how she interprets it, but she could be wrong. Salome Scott |

“Human beings need each other just as much as they also need nature and its plants and animals. However, every individual must recognize this and become conscious of it. And therefore it is necessary to develop a sense and a feeling for that because, truthly, the recognition is based on this; that all living things need each other in a universal responsibility which cannot be evaded in the long run. Especially in today’s world of the hectic and of the fast, unconsidered mode of life, it is neither possible for the single individual, nor for the peoples and nations, to alone guide and resolve life and the situation of the world. Therefore it is absolutely required that the individual, as well as the peoples and nations, recognize their individual and collective duty and responsibility for the common life and works, because only thereby can the families of all species of life, as well as planet Earth itself, be protected and preserved. The strong must support and protect the weak and do everything for the care and the preservation of the environment and of the planet on which the human being lives and on which he/she leads a life in which he/she is only a traveler for whom, on his/her journey, obstacles and difficulties fall in the way which he/she must recognize and remove in a timely form in order thereby learn and from which benefit. Obstacles and difficulties, namely, if they are rightly recognized, understood and used, are often unexpected sources of power which make one strong and resistant. The more obstacles and difficulties are overcome, the more knowing and unassailable the human being becomes against all injustice of the life, and the more profoundly he/she recognizes the truth of the necessity of this; that all life-forms need each other, thus, also the human being needs the human beings who are next to him/her and he/she needs fellow human beings. …” Billy TWtL; 399 |

Verse 454..... in light of everything that's happening on the forum outside the forum... this verse illustrates the importance of seeking truth ....learning from each other and not get caught up in our attachments of any kind...pointing out wrong actions, decisions, thoughts without condemnation... The number of executions recently are very disturbing and there is a local state attorney who attempted not seek the death penalty for major cases and the fla governor stepped in...now the ramifications for her actions are as well disturbing...her decision is possibly a career-ending decision and she has received death threats, go figure MsMichelle

Hello MsMichelle, verse 454 (page 396) is one of my more favorite verses because (as you must know) it explains the fulfillment of guidelines, and it is interesting you bring up the stupid death punishment in conjunction with this verse, as you must know the recommended detention centers are places of fulfillment of guidelines (IE: centers for banishment of the fallible ones = they are to be processed unharmed). ----- "Goblet of the Truth" reference for places of fulfillment of guidelines (sources of instruction for the Earth, for us to revolutionize our penal system to centers for banishment of the fallible ones [separation by gender/separation from society]): 2:197, 2:233, 2:388, 3:146, 3:214-3:215, 4:04, 4:25, 4:47, 4:54, 4:58, 4:82-4:83, 4:122, 4:220, 5:33, 5:50, 5:55, 5:137, 6:125, 7:04, 8:68-8:71, 9:99 updated Talmund of Jmmanuel by Judas Ischkerioth: 12:04 page 206, 12:01-12:22, 12:48 ----- Being an offender who is processed unharmed, would make it easier to be acquitted if one was in truth innocent, because you were still alive due to being processed unharmed, like what happened with the man who was put to death recently, the one who was rumored to be innocent? Can't say if there is any credence to the rumour of innocence, or not. Salome/Corey Müske

The Way to Live; page 394; verse 452: If one is still unaccustomed in regard to meditation, but is able to attain a state of deep stillness, then often this does not last very long, because, again and again, thoughts, feelings and emotions or impulsations, and so forth, arise. Such manifestations should be neither oppressed with Gewalt (violence) nor rejected; rather, they should simply be accepted in the flow of the pure awareness. It is the stillness which is important and the all-embracing, peaceful state of meditation done with dedication. All that which arises and manifests is nothing other than the everyday consciousness’s own radiation, which can be brought under control through a further dedication to the meditation, whereby, however, coercion must not be exercised, rather stillness and pure perception in the peaceful state. It can thereby be advantageous to immediately follow the arising constructs back to the root of their origin in order to dissolve then there. If the unshakable stability of the perception and view is really embodied, regardless of whatever arises, then, in the meditation, everything becomes fathomed in truth without the possibility of distraction; consequently, delusions no longer come forth from any kind of things, and none can occur anymore. |

Regarding challenges and various forms of suffering, Billy makes it uniquely clear that this is indeed needed in each incarnation. Kenneth The Way to Live; Die Art zu leben: “Billy” Eduard Albert Meier Page 420, verses 464,465 & 466: 464) The human being is the most open during the time in which he/she suffers. Therefore, through suffering, the human being achieves much knowledge and wisdom, and gets to know both love as well as peace, feelings for others, kind-heartedness and harmony. Therefore may the human being never complain in suffering, rather bear it with rationality and intelligence. 465) The human being is probably the most vulnerable when suffering, but precisely that is the state in which he/she is the most receptive to knowledge, truth and wisdom and thereby finds access to his/her true, inner strength. 466) No human being should ever run away from his/her suffering, rather, may each one use it in the best kind and wise possible for him/her in order to thereby become more knowing, truthly and wise as well as more feeling towards others and more useful for the fellow human beings and all other life-forms. |

Well, this is incredible; was not happy to hear about this human made issue and was not aware how much damage the current Earthly civilization has done and continues to do? Billy is talking about all previous civilizations that have lived one Earth. We are the most destructive! He also talks about the enormous reservoir of power human beings have due to the fine-spiritual energy etc. From “The Way to Live”, page 444 verse 491: 491) “… - In fact, since ancient times, the implementation of this gigantic, Creation-given power in the human being has been necessary in order to create progress and to have the human being become more knowing and humane, but today it is mostly necessary, since the human being, in his/her entire wrong dealings and wrong actions, creates more and more need, misery and things which are terrible, and, through the rapidly increasing overpopulation, evokes the destruction of the humanity and the planet. Therefore, has there ever been a time in the terrestrial history in which the application of this power would have been more urgent and necessary than today? No, because at no time has the human being ever sunk so deeply, consciously and unconsciously, in his/her destructive delusion, as is the case today. Therefore, at no earlier time…” Kenneth |

reference verse 481...Starting with these sentences towards the end... " however, they are only called forth through Meditation; consequently, They Cannot Be Comprehensively Taken Back Into Everyday Life, Rather only in a Piecemeal Form"?..... I need some insight and clarity on what You all Think of this complete verse. Peace and Love MsMichelle
