Hi everyone, this is my first post, so I hope you'll bear with me. I read Kinder's book in 1987 and was impressed, but after the internet came into being and the skeptical howls got louder and louder, the solidity of my feelings about Billy's case wavered. I've seen and read additional material within the past few days, though, and my interest (and questions) have been rekindled.

I have to say, first off, that even if there has been deception on Billy's part I still find no evidence of negative intentions and I like the overall message of the reported contacts.

But I have to grant that, while the skeptics and detractors have been intensely, even blindly one-sided in their assessment of the case, they are not without seeming just cause in some of their suspicions, which leads into some of my questions regarding elements the skeptics have now famously latched onto.

First, has there been any known analysis of any of the famous early photos (such as those of beamship variation 4 taken at Hasenbol-Langenberg) that has revealed any evidence of fakery (.e. double exposure or fishing line)? I'm not much interested in the WCUFO because it has been done to death and there are very murky issues with it (i.e. it's resemblance to common items, blurriness, etc.), but it seems to me a more relevant question to ask whether any of the more famous earlier photos have ever been touched by skeptics (other than those known model photos deliberately done for comparison).

Have there been any more recent computer aided analyses of Billy's photographs than those done in the first investigations by Stevens and Elders (such as the early Dilettoso work)?

Did all the metal samples disappear?

Have any witnesses outside of FIGU reported a daylight sighting of a beamship in Switzerland?

Has there ever been a response by Billy about the "Sears catalog" Semjase photo? Was this purported by Billy/FIGU to be forged disinformation (I've never seen it BTW). I have seen a side-by-side of what I think is the original Asket photo and the image of the woman from the Dean Martin show and, other than them both being blond, I see very little resemblance.

Was there any indication that the paintings of the pterodactyl and the San Francisco earthquake were actually done after the date of Billy's photographs (which would indicate a disinformation scheme)?

In researching the case recently I've been taken by how complex it seems to be, but also by the lack of willingness of the very vocal detractors to look at anything other than the most questionable elements. They fixate and drone on about plastic ray guns, Sears photos, and beamship models in Billy's office, and utterly ignore and refuse to discuss the long list of unchallenged facts, such as the existence of extremely exotic metal samples, complex and irreproducible sound recordings, and accurate technical statements such as Billy's knowledge about the height of Mt. Chimborazo more than twenty years before it was openly acknowledged by science.

Thanks very much in advance for any input!

Hi Archandel,

I think the best way to find out all the answers to the questions you asked there is to buy from Figu shop the 1982 Billy Meier Documentary called "Contact", or you can watch it online for free on Google Video but it is listed under different video title names. Your better off buying the video on DVD from Figu because it is a video that everyone should have in their collection. Thats what I did.

Alan, thanks for then reply. Yes, I've seen Contact and it brought to light a number of things, all of which increased my interest in the Meier case, but it didn't directly address any of the questions in my earlier post, some of which are related to what has happened since the release date of that film (such as the question of what computer photo analysis has happened since Jim Dilettoso's work at that time).

If you or anyone can recommend a more recent documentary that covers some of these issues in a more up to date context, I'd appreciate that.

The gist of many of my queries relates to the fact that some isolated aspects (whether real or fabricated) of the case have been put forward over the years by skeptics (even people I respect such as Stanton Friedman) and, while they haven't persuaded me that the case is generally hoaxed, I think it can only help Billy's standing in the eyes of the world if somehow these issues are explained or the fabricated disinformation campaign against Billy is completely exposed.

There is a blurb on this site about the forged Asket photo using the television dancer to replace Billy's original image, but nothing about the supposed Sears Semjase photo (and I'm wondering if it ever even existed).

As far as my question about daylight sightings by people other than Meier farm residents, I wasn't sure if Guido Moosbrugger or Elsie Moser saw anything in the day or only had sightings at night. The only other person I know of to have reported a daylight beamship sighting in Switzerland is Randolph Winters. Two others who said they saw them in other parts of the world are George Green and the Asian woman who knew Billy in India.
